It’s bigger than Maguire. What message does it send to players where it doesn’t matter how well you play you’ll never get picked. Conversely it doesn’t matter if you aren’t playing regularly you’ll still get picked. That is just not acceptable.
Totally agree with this. My issue is picking players he liked rather than those who are on form. Picking players who aren’t regulars for the club side is just plain wrong.
