Only the top 6.
Whilst others are up there and have been in the Premier Lge for a number of years, it only takes a bad season and they'd be in a challenging position(ala Everton)
Having witnessed the last 6 games first hand, I’m starting to think I might be a bit of a jonah. I’m working away this weekend, I hope the performance and result improves in my absence
We went with a 4 yesterday as our only pace at the back was Lamptey and Cucurella, and we needed them to play as defenders as opposed to wing backs. If we’d played with a back 5, which I personally prefer, we’d have been exposed for pace as the wing backs would have been too high up the pitch to...
I thought the officials had a shocker today, until I re-watched the key decisions at home. In hindsight they weren’t so bad, and as has been pointed out, the decisions made would not have helped us win the game
If he’s fit to be on the bench then he should start, he’s arguably one of our best players. Having him on the bench is a risk, as he may not last(as proven today) and it’s a wasted substitution. I’m sure he’s gutted, but in taking off Bissouma to protect him from a red card having already taken...
Yep, with Liverpool an Tottenham up next.
Players are often rested for bigger games, and some on here have been saying he needs time on the bench too. It happened, and I expect we’ll see him and Lallana back next Saturday
He came across as a lot of fun on an old Peter Crouch podcast.
As for his managerial skills, he knows how to get the best out of limited players. A few years ago, he tried to change the style of play and it wasn’t working. He then reverted back to their strengths and they survived another...
Too easy to play against, and then hit on the counter. If Cucurella and or Lamptey get forward ad lose possession then we have no pace at the back to break the counter. Thus they’re not playing with confidence to get forward
Wishing and voting for a 3-1, but expecting 1-1.
I’m a tad worried how many we may have out due to ‘illness’, and hope we can revert to a back 3/5, as we don’t look confident with a back 4
Fair play to him for sticking it out. However, I suspect he’ll break down at some point(sadly). Feeling fit and actually completing games are 2 very different things. I hope I’m wrong, but for what it’s worth I wish him well
