[Finance] Premium Bonds - prize pool increased again - you ever have any luck?

You don't have to use your own postcode - you could pick any location in the country. Mrs DCH still plays based on our old postcode as she would hate to find our old neighbours got a win and she had missed out. There was a big win in Goring just before xmas 2022. Some people won nearly £380k...

    [Albion] James Milner sings

For those of a certain age, surely a reworking of the old Fred Wedlock song to "Oldest Winger In Town" would be appropriate for Milner now.

[Albion] What's happened to Adam Webster.

After one of my teams had folded, I was asked to help out a mates team one Sunday morning. I'd had no pre-season, not played since the previous April and, as someone who played centre back, they asked me to fill in at left back. I did okay but with 10 minutes to go, I jumped for a header and...

[Finance] Premium Bonds - prize pool increased again - you ever have any luck?

Last month I got a £25 cheque through the post. I only recently managed to find the huge investment I have with NS&I - a whole £6 so very happy with that :lolol:

    [Technology] Tablet computer recommendations please

Sounds like you might need a Chromebook rather than a tablet. You can pick these up for less that £200 from Currys, John Lewis, etc.

    [TV] Jeopardy

Much as I love Stephen Fry, he is the wrong choice for this. It needs someone with energy but this was slow and boring.

    [Music] Iconic band locations

Although I’m not a fan of U2, I have been to Red Rocks in Colorado where they filmed the War tour and some tracks recorded were on Under A Blood Red Sky. Amazing setting for concerts.

[Brighton] Best sports shop in Brighton (for hockey stick)?

I’ve still got a pair of Puma King trainers I bought not long before the shop closed down. I wasn’t sure about spending so much but your Dad said that they would last me a long time. Please let him know that he was right and I hope he is enjoying his retirement.

[Misc] Boxing Day is better than Christmas Day

I know I’m in a minority but I liked last year. Chilled morning, able to enjoy the afternoon horse racing before heading off to the Amex for football while there is nothing worth watching on the telly.

[Food] Your meat and two veg

Save some bread sauce for leftovers sandwiches. Works brilliantly in place of mayo. Sounds weird but trust me, it works.

    [Food] Restaurant thread 2023

Zedel is somewhere I always recommend to people looking for a great value place to eat in London. As you say, the interior is stunning but also the quality of the food is great. For somewhere right in the heart of the West End, it makes such a change from the usual overpriced tourist traps.
