Yes it is. It is why so many commentators rave about him when we have been on tv.
Bossed the midfield in the Palace game for example and around the start of Jan there were people on the radio saying he should be considered for England - disagree with that but he IS a good player and very...
He is a good premier league player.
Sure he has had bad games but who hasn't?
I find the vendetta against him from some of our so called fans absolutely pathetic.
If we had flair players maybe they would be. Propper imho does not fit that description.
He has had enough games but has contributed little. If he was a flair player he would have had more than 1 assist.
Not sure what he does to be honest - can't run with the ball, doesn't assist goals, can't...
Fantastic performance in the circumstances. It was what was needed.
And we did have shots - they just weren't on target.
Very similar to Palace for me except Knocky's long shot went in but Kayal's went just over.
With due respect the last 20 years have all been in lower divisions so of course...
But he doesn't just pass backwards and sideways. Most of the balls out to the wings to set up attacks were played by Stephens.
EVERY other player plays the ball backwards at times but when Stephens does it he gets moaned at.
His pass success rate is often poor which I'm guessing may be a factor. (as may the clumsy tackle vs Leicester)
Despite many people thinking Stephens' passing is poor and that he gives away the ball a lot he has a far better pass success rate than Kayal.
I think however Kayal brings an energy to...
It was a fantastic performance yesterday - exactly what was needed. Could have attacked, had lots of shots on target and lost.
Would far rather, given our situation, play like we did and get a point.
All about opinions and I get where you are coming from but I don't think Hughton should just be judged just on the last 6 games.
The fact that we have been missing our 2 most creative players from last season (Gross and Jose) for most of these games is a key factor IMHO
I would play Kayal for the rest of the season regardless of if Propper is fit. Offered more heart, passion and determination than I have ever seen from Propper.
Think him and Stephens suit each other and are a far better partnership than Stephens/Propper.
No idea what he is like as a player but apparently Isaac Hayden from Newcastle wants to move South and is leaving Newcastle in the summer.
I think we were linked with him last year?
Like I said no idea if he would be an upgrade but he has PL experience and Newcastle fans seem to rate him.
Game of opinons - he would be one of my bottom 3.
I think Stephens has been better most of the season and really don't get some people's negativity toward him (missed Cardiff game so cannot comment on that match).
Yesterday I think Stephens played really well but still some people are giving...
Posted this in another thread but probably more relevant here:
Just looked up some stats on Gross. Despite being missing for most of the season he has created 23 of our 69 "big chances" this season. 2nd highest from any other player is 8. Our entire midfield 3 have only created 6 between them...
