Anyone? A league leading side in all formats a few years ago to this level of dross.
Is there a reason? A series of changes? Financial issues? Or is it just the cycle of change in cricket?
That doesn't matter. It's not about him staying. He signs now so he's worth more; in return we let him go this window; and he gets a cut of the extra dough. Nothing to do with him actually intending to stay on the championship.

Get Dale to sign a new contract for three years in return for letting him go for £10m+. We get better money, he gets a cut of the dough and a big pay hike in the Prem. That would suit everyone if he's going anyway.
I hate the lack of professionalism in these types of circumstances (we don't know what has happened here btw), but it all seems ok if we are the beneficiaries of a "three own goals and a red card" player when the shoe is on the other foot who abouts he was totally distracted by the interest from...
Because if he did have a strop, and if we did come out and say it in public, it would make it far harder to negotiate with a potential buyer. It's not complicated - it's business.
Perfect.
And thanks to the others for the advice. How exciting to be going to your first ever game (mind you, I feel like that every time I go to the Amex).
Colleague of mine lives in Hassocks and has two lads (5 & 7) how are football mad. He wants to take them to the Amex but he has never been to a football match before.
I know the Albion are amazing with kids - but mine grew up years ago, so don't know how things work these days.
I know he'll be...
not as good as this for drunken sing a long.......one for the oldies perhaps
Seem to recall being forced to play the tambourine in a rendition of this in a school music competition in the 70s. (We were utterly cr@p).
Up there with my scene stealing role as "3rd man at inn" during a...
Why? That quote is seriously open to interpretation - and I don't have access to Player. What player would say anything other than "I'm here forever" when asked - they all say that until the day they go.
Time to get player then. My only reference was the Argus and above is a direct quote. Bloody delighted if he stays - full season of him plus all the rest of our winger talent with FFS and perhaps another striker ahead could make for a(nother) memorable year.
It does sound like Tony Bloom is determined to keep our squad together - for which many thanks. But I'm not sure where this idea that AK is definitely not going has come from.
In the Argus he is quoted as saying “I feel very happy here, so if I need to stay I will stay. I know how much I love...
Is it possible that the players aren't signing the new contract? Or are demanding more than we want to pay? Or do you think we just forgot and the penny's just dropped?
Astonishingly beautiful country, lovely food and great people. Visited plenty of times and never had any issues. If you've never had mint tea in Patara, waded up Saklikent Gorge, eaten fish late in the evening overlooking Kalkan harbour, or driven over the mountains to marvel at the waterfalls...
True or not - we're going to see Prem clubs with ridiculous money offering wages we can't possibly compete with to sign players who are likely only ever to be prospects and then "never made it" has-beens on the off chance that they might come good.
This money has finally completely skewed...
