Goring fisherman
I lived in Worthing for 50 years and pretty certain this guy is out fishing everyday when the weather permits.
He used to fly a Union Jack when his stall was open, don’t know whether he still does?
Contrary to a previous post you can catch cod in June off the Sussex coast...
Probably not the first to call it out but do Maupay and Trossard flatter to deceive or what.

Still hate Palace though
At one stage the island was one of the only places to get a drink. That’s been scuppered by the ********s from Southampton and Portsmouth who managed to put our infection rates up.
Motorway services encounter
Met the great man at a motorway services on the way back from an away game many years ago. He was QPR manager at the time. I had the distinction of sharing a urinal with Tony Currie and Steve Wicks.

Rings a bell. My donkey jacket didn’t quite keep the cold out!
Poskett was a great finisher. Nothing fancy about his style and was underrated by many in my opinion.
Malcolm Poskett at the Valley
Sort of made up for being stuck on a charter train somewhere in Northamptonshire and not getting to the Forest 3-1 league cup defeat. The club offered free travel and entry to the Valley for those unfortunates on the train.
Weird sort of day with a fair number of...
Tranmere league cup midweek
First leg of a league cup tie in the 70’s.
We had a length of terracing in front of the main stand. We were on a half full coach. Perhaps a couple of cars made the trip as well.
Bob Paisley was in the stands watching Lawro who got sent off on the night. We know...
Sussex Sunday League
Southern Water (Worthing Based) Mainly Junior division 1 with a brief spell in intermediate.
Remember beating AFC George at Fernhurst in their own back yard. I’m think we would have been 100-1 for that one. Played mostly on hill barn east and remember the likes of St...
