Got to 10 minutes before the end of episode 1 of Ripley and the 'wooden' beach scene where he meets Dickie and Marge had me switching off it was just so bizarre and stilted. Great noir aesthetic but the rest of it left me cold. As others have pointed out, at 47 Scott is far too old to be...
There's an argument that had we kept Mac and Caicedo we'd have had a fair chance of winning the Europa League. Will we ever be in a similar position again? I very much doubt it.
Never stepped foot in IKEA (who needs it when you've got Furniture Now?) but mein gott do the Scandinavians, specifically Sverige and Norge, do global brands so prolifically.
Probably the most beautifully constructed sentence I've seen on here since I joined this complete waste of time back in 1997. Absolutely stellar wordsmithery from beginning to end, succinct, slick, flawless, not a wasted word.

Really not sure on this one. The film is such an all-time classic that I don’t know why they didn’t leave that book alone and adapt another of Highsmith’s works instead, or just make a Ripley series with a generic ‘Ripley’ script. Also not convinced Scott is the actor for that role.
^ I'd like Southampton to go up just to rob Portsmouth of finally getting their derby game back after many years, arguably the whole point of their existence. :lolol: Equally fantastic is the prospect of Wednesday going down just as Sheff Utd return to the Championship.
Good post. If only the 'chapters' weren't so short each time though. Potter's would constitute a slim novel, Caicedo's and Ali Mac's a short story, Cucurella's a pamphlet...
Any sorry excuse to recycle another CM 'gag'...
I used to fill my water bed up with Earl Grey, until someone pointed out that life isn't a bed of rosie.
Nah, I'm sick of being surrounded by Sussex Arsenal plastics who should be supporting their local team. At least you get almost no City plastics down here in Sussex. As for Trossard, totally disrespected our club and fanbase in making his move.
I have this insane fantasy of clubs like ours building a stadium the size of a 50-60k, which we'd never fill, but filling it with around 35k seats, making each seat an inch or two wider, the gap between each seat wider too, bigger aisles and more spacing between the rows so you have a physically...
“We had super Rob De Zerbi, he knew exactly what we needed, which wasn’t selling Ben White at the back, Trossard in attack, or Caicedo and Ali Mac in midfield.”
