[Brighton] The Woof (Old Preston Brewery Tap)

First it was cat cafes, now dog pubs. What next - gerbil kebab shops (not much meat on the before anyone points that out), rabbit cocktail bars? It will end with fish in chip shops.

[Albion] Thrown out for taking a beer to seat

Sneaking the odd hip flask in is one thing bit back in the Withdean days, I seem to recall @Herr Tubthumper getting a bottle of champagne into the ground to celebrate one of the promotions. We also managed a large birthday cake and a knife to cut it with at one game!

[Albion] Are you going to Man City?

It’s a system that has been used for concert tickets for ages now to try and stop touting. I’m surprised it took the club so long to implement it. As for the technology, I’m sure there is some algorithm in there somewhere that allows the code to generate without a connection but which...

    New Monk's Farm

The first closure weekend, the A24 northbound was queued for about 15 minutes at lunchtime on the Saturday but was fine at lunchtime on the Sunday so not too much of a delay.

[Albion] Are you going to Man City?

They recently updated things so the QR changes every minute or so so that wouldn’t work now.

[Albion] Are you going to Man City?

Not going but only because I had foot and leg surgery last week and I’m having to keep my leg raised at the moment. Planning to make it to the Villa game so apologies in advance to anyone stuck behind me limping up to the WSU.

[Football] Places not to watch football

Sure that wasn’t Watford away a few years ago? If so, that would have been me as I bought my son a burger in Five Guys but took loads of the free peanuts to eat in the ground.

[Drinking] The Pub Debate - local take aways

The Piggery in Broadwater doesn’t take cards. Since the cash machine opposite was removed, they do allow you to do a bank transfer if you don’t have cash. It is one of the four things I pay cash for these days - the other three are my barber, my Football subs and when I place an on course bet...

    [Food] Restaurant 2024 thread

I saw that Brio in Worthing has been renamed Fratelli’s but is run by the son of the original owner. Comes with some new crap about “the menu has been updated to better reflect the family’s Italian heritage”. Does the Shoreham one come with a similar load of marketing rubbish?
