It's called ghostdriving in German. Happens quite regularly here with big announcements on the radio as to where it's taking place and how to react if you see someone heading the wrong way.
Normally the culprit is elderly and/or drunk...
Good evening NSC. I'm in the process of organising a family holiday (boys 9 and 7) to Australia for summer 2019 and I'm looking for advice from your good selves.
We're planning to go for the whole of August and have already decided to spend at least a week around Sydney. We're tentatively...
There's a wonderful story from Nigel Quashie doing the rounds on Twitter showing just what a decent person Ray Wilkins was. Maybe someone here who is halfway computer literate could stick it up?
Will always remember the brilliant goal against Belgium at Euro 1980 as well as him...
I was pretty hardened when I saw Johansson in that film...
Oh, and an overrated film for you - Gangs of New York. I'm glad Daniel Day Lewis is retiring.
Carcassonne is impressive but can get very busy - best to get there early/late to avoid the tourist coaches.
There are so many wonderful towns and villages in that area. Try http://www.france-beautiful-villages.org/en which is an association of France's most beautiful villages for some ideas...
The Watford owners are absolutely ruthless - Dyche, Jovanovic, Silva all booted out when doing a decent job.
Silva must be gutted that he didn't take the Everton job. Paul Merson will be pleased though.
Nasty piece of work as a player, graceless manager.
Just disappointed there was no handshake incident with him last night - I love it when he gets so worked up by it!
Some points made by the German commentary team including ex-Fulham player Moritz Volz:
- Shawcross should have been booked for block on Knockaert
- 100% penalty on Murray. Second yellow for Shawcross?
- Murray could have got a red for foul on Wimmer
- Referee lost control of game
- Couldn't...
Oscar Garcia has quit his job at Saint-Etienne. He had made a promising start but the 0-5 derby humping by Lyon was his last game.
He seems to be becoming a bit of a mercenary/nomad.
Sorry to hear that, Durlston. I've had attacks on and off for the last 30 years so I know how you're feeling. Epilepsy is a condition where there's a lot of theorising and uncertainty which can be frustrating.
My attacks can be quite serious - temporary loss of consciousness - but, touch wood...
Young Seagulls is really worth doing. My boys' welcome packs came this week and they were absolutely chuffed! Came as a complete surprise to them and has only reinforced their love of the club.
Mind you, my Bronze membership tin hasn't arrived yet - BARBER OUT.
A few observations:
1. The B team looked better overall.
2. Düsseldorf start their season in two weeks so are ahead of us in terms of pre-season.
3. Murphy has a directness that none of our wingers has.
4. The players are a credit to the club. All happy to pose for a photo with my boys...
Hello from Austria! Don't want to come across as a bit HB&B but we've just had a right downpour where I'm staying. Just hoping that the game is on - my lads would be heartbroken!
Any other Seagulls fans going? Or are the three of us responsible for the chants?!
I think you're doing him a bit of a disservice. Wolfsburg and Lille were at the time two of the more successful and well-financed clubs in their respective leagues. He was excellent for Lille IMO.
Should be at his peak at 28. We should be happy with any signing with Kjaer's experience and pedigree.
