That is exactly the point I think. My teenage daughter who's really not into to football at all has now decided that she wants a Brighton shirt, and to spend some more money and time in the shop, purely because we are now supplied by Nike, and Nike are cool.
It is the sponsors logo on the home shirt that's really stopping me ordering one. Do like the red and black away one though, and 3 kids all want the away goalie shirt. Just a real shame about the home sponsors logo looking like it's meant to peeled off.
Yeah I've got a couple of Poland shirts, but then I'm half polish, so not sure if it counts as a different nation. Should state when they play each other there is only one team I'm supporting, which is England.
Ernest, I've taken much pleasure and adjustment from your posts over the years, however now I'm passing on the mantle. You've made my son's day, tickets providing obviously.
6 in all
Millwall both legs (my first ever away game)
Notts County
Swindon h
Brizzle City
Them at home last year
Unfortunately, due to my son ending up in a wheelchair last weekend couldn't do Derby at home, he wouldn't of coped, and wasn't fair for me to go without him.
For some reason I can never forget Kerry Mayo's injury time winner against Derby at Withdean, maybe it was the surrealistic sight of seeing Fabrizio Ravenelli warming up at Withdean. I'd take that again now if offered.
Ward, as said above succeeded in the improbable of replacing Bridge. Really thought we would struggle at LB this year, but can't think of one poor, or below average game Ward has played.
Do miss the old Wembley goals, of course the problem is these days stadia are brand new or redeveloped so enabling much more space between stand and goal. The old north stand you almost touch the pitch leaning over the stand, see also The Dell, Highbury etc. Now however there is more space...
