I think it would represent a massive lack of ambition when compared with RDZ.
I genuinely thought we'd look for someone in a similar mould, with some experience of managing in European competition.
Perhaps we just struck really lucky with RDZ being available when he was and actually that sort...
In general it is not. In the 35 years of following the club, this is the first time I've ever felt like this about a prospective managerial appointment.
I didn't say the club *should* do anything. I appreciate my opinion matters not to them, or indeed others on here, but I was just giving my personal stance.
This is exactly where I am too. Everything we've seen from Tony and Paul's decision making, on a whole range of issues, makes it very difficult for me to make a logical case in my head for Potter returning.
Exactly the same in my circles too. Quite a few have said they won't go to matches if Potter returns, which is quite a statement as almost all of them having been going since the 80s/90s.
