Don't worry. There are some posters on here who only enjoy supporting the club because they can moan on matchday threads. There were not many chances last season as we were so good. Now they can moan and go on about how we're going to fail this season.
Every thread with a random rumour about a player leaving you're on there pretty much saying they are gone. So yes, that pretty much translates to every player if people offer money for them.
You mention two years ago earlier in the thread but we're a different club now. We have a stable...
If you're not starting them, it's always you on the threads moaning. I'm not saying we're not going to sell anyone. I'm saying if we believe you, we'd have no players left by the start of the season. They'd all have been sold
It's all pretty tiresome in my view. Some random Internet site or newspaper has a story linking one of our players with a club and you can guarantee one of them or someone will start a thread assuming they will be sold and moaning about it. Yet we've not sold any of our key players yet.
Sorry, I misunderstood your post. I realise now it was even more rubbish than I first thought. Your comment about "who's laughing now" made me think you'd been proven right and weren't referring to now, when we've lost no players that we want to keep to date. That might yet change but it doesn't...
Would be a great signing for Bolton. Given how he performed in the last three games, I was surprised we didn't offer him a new deal but he may have wanted first team football at this stage of his career.
Completely agree with this. We've got such a good squad that we can wait. I'd rather get the main striker signing in August and get it right than rush into it.
The only concern I have, given our injuries, is centre back but I'm confident we wouldn't have let Dallison go on loan if we weren't...
It depends on how negative you are. Realistically all players have a price but I think the view of some on here (and judging by your posts, you may be a not very extreme version of this), the expectation is we will sell our players when any offer comes in while any other team will play hard...
Agree. Think the latter is likely. We probably wouldn't let him go if one or the other was true as we need three centre halves minimum until Huhnemeier comes back and Hall is apparently starting off in the development squad.
What a load of rubbish. After the play off capitulation as you put it (by which I assume you mean when we lost to Derby with half our team out), we lost most of our best players, a manager (who was replaced very late on by a poor manager) and we had Burke in charge of signings (and he was...
Simple answer is no. I'm a little disappointed we've not heard anything about contracts and only made two first team signings. However, I honestly think we've currently got a squad that most teams would be delighted to have in this division. We've also not lost any key players from last season...
Because right wing people love being parodied, don't they? As others have said, parody is fine if it is funny. That wasn't funny in any way and the fact that anyone thought it was worthwhile sharing it on here is concerning for them.
It's hardly surprising. It is written in the Spectator by someone you would imagine is under 10 and sulking. Rarely have I seen such a pathetic article (although maybe article is too strong a word for it)
We will have to agree to disagree then. Elphick and El Abd mostly until October and then Poyet blamed Elphick for the Bournemouth penalty and then it was Greer and El Abd all season except when Greer was banned until we had won the title. By the time he came back, Dunk was well ahead of him too...
Someone has read something (which could well not be true) and immediately you turn it round to the club not paying the going rate. Even if it is true, you have no idea whether the player's agents are being unreasonable or if the club are offering below the going rate.
