My petrol light comes on when 50 miles left according the gauge and trip computer.
Since I've gone from 80 miles a month driving to 30 miles a day I've been watching my consumption a lot more carefully.
My car does 30mpg if I'm VERY careful and drive like my mum as its rather juicy and...
Can't the council just employ more of their "litter police"? About 5 years ago I got stopped walking up Queens Road on my way back to the station by one of those "environmental officers" after I flicked my roll up fag butt down a drain.
Cost me £80.
Considering I'd already put it out and...
Had my first yesterday at 9am.
Felt OK throughout the day, left work at 7.30pm and did the half hour drive home. And I had trouble getting out the car. I felt like I've been run over by a lorry and was in bed by 8.15.
Muscle spasms and aching all over throughout the night.
Today I am much the...
I've had a few in my time. When I say a few I mean about 10. And all at the same time when I sold a car about 15 years ago.
Didn't want to cash them in at the bank but also didn't want to spend them. Especially as it was difficult trying to use a nifty to buy a pack of fags and a pint of milk...
I think they're better than the old ones.
I've got a Samsung S10 with 6 months left on the contract. Last week it started saying it wasnt fast charging and a message on screen saying to use the lead supplied with the phone.... but I am....
So it now takes 4-5 hours to charge it to 100% instead...
We had a look at the house yesterday. It was on Cotswold Rd. Wasn't sure about the area but the Mrs seemed happy with it.
The house wasn't as we expected so we'll carry on looking.
Had a drive around Worthing as a whole and liked the look of Broadwater. I think the Eastern side of Worthing...
Old thread bounce alert!
What's it like over there nowadays? Looking at a house today in Durrington.
Can't afford where we are but there are options in Worthing in our budget.

In short there isn't any. I have had unofficial conversations with the director who hired me about the h&s issue when I first started 6 weeks ago and he said and I quote....
Him - "It's not illegal for you to work on your own, we just have to have measures in place if something goes wrong...
I'm not so sure about that. It's like asbestos. It can be very harmful and do a lot of damage. But if you leave it alone and dont **** about with it (like trying to drill through it, move it or break it or sand it down then it won't harm you).
Everyone on site has a license. And there's only 3...
I've ****ing had it with this ****ing place. Bunch of utter utter ****ing *****.
Only God knows how I havent chinned that ****ing ****. I want to quite literally stove the back of his ****ing head in with a ****ing hammer.
With my mental state I could quite happily just forget buying a house...
8 hour day with 30 min unpaid lunch. Others work 6am-4pm through lunch so get 2 hours o/t a day.
They want me to start 11.30am-8pm. An 8 hour day. No overtime before shift to stop doubling up the labour on the machine. (Even though it's a 2 man job in reality).
Been looking elsewhere since I started. I only took the job as I was unemployed. Didnt want the shifts they were offering but didn't have much choice if I wanted to pay the rent.
Pretty much.
It has been to my benefit. But I'm not going to take the risk for no benefit whatsoever. Its effectively a pay cut. But everyone else has the opportunity to earn extra.
For the last 20 years I've always been an early start-early finisher working 12 hour shifts 6am-6pm after...
Not really.
My supervisor is a complete nob. He's Polish. Rude, arrogant and shouty. I've already had to bite my lip several times because of the way he's spoken to me and we've already had several disagreements.
The next one up is the manager who wants me to change shift, then I'll be at...
