Could hardly sum it up better. 71/72 was my 1st promotion and that makes it so special but 76/77 we seemed a bigger club, we had so many leaders in the team and the belief was there. Also worth a mention that the race was between 4 teams, Wrexham being the other. Considered by many to be the...
Not feeling too well so this is 1st time of looking in since posting. You've not let me down with corny comments and some of you have really nailed it!
Thanks also for the serious ones, I do think this is a neglected area, one that becomes more apparent as we get older so I'd like to bring a...
I am organising a Learning at work day for an office in central Brighton and trying to cover an health aspect. One that rarely gets done is feet. Joints, circulation, diabeties, artheritis & rhumatism, so many health issues and, if you don't look after your feet then problems will spread further...
I've had an empty pair of seats all this season an last but never up for sale. Handy seat to hang my coat but I'd rather have someone there when it gets cold. WSU 3G row J. 144 & 143.
He may well be living locally, may even watch Albion more times than Wolves. There are a lot of people in the area who still have their 'home' team in their hearts. I think it's fine to mix as long as you respect where you are and not draw attention by loudly cheering your team.
Some years ago...
As my computer was down, I missed all these tributes on the day, but then I did manage to 'have a few' with him.
He doesn't look in here much but I know he'd be touched by the comments and the fondness you have for him. he's one of those nice guys who really doesn't feel worthy of such. he's...
Been offline awhile due to technical problems so not read all this thread. I use the WSL bar nearest the North Stand after the game and Harveys always has to have the barrel changed. Given that there's more than 1 tap, and that they know there will be a crowd when the game ends, why can they not...
On Friday I reported that three lights were 'out' on a stairway from WSU, an exit route. I would have thought that this safety issue would have been checked ahead of an evening game but hey ho.
I was therefore really disappointed to see that those same lights were still out on the Tuesday...
Ahem, I think we did have it at the Goldstone but those were olden days without mobiles.
Back then it was smokers lighting up and I remember, as a kid in the West Stand enclosure, seeing all the matches lighting up on the massive east terrace.
An update.
Rang them today and went to the option for 'leavers'. Guy I spoke to was very pleasant, looked into my billing, looked into the compensation for lost services and we are now best buddies. I was able to vent my spleen, he made some reasonable offers and we're sorted.
Could I have...
It looked good & sort of festive. The same thing happened at a young England game at the Amex last season. There were loads of kids there tonight, what with the hols & special offers. I bet they enjoyed it and will add to their memories so stop grumping!
I am much the same in that I've been with them since Nynex, C&W, NTL (also my email) etc and seldom had problems before but this last year or so the prices keep going up and the service gets worse, repairs and customer service especially. We have 3 TIVO users, broadband and phone so loads of...
Oh Virgin Media. As far as I know, no longer connected to Branson so seemingly not that bothered about customer service anymore. At least twice this year we have been without service for over a week (it seems like engineers only do Brighton on a Thursday). Both times compensation was offered but...
