6 caps for England U17's and in U19 squad in 2019. Although born in Canada, came to England when he was 4. Has Canadian and English parents. Didn't opt to play for Canada until this year.
Where will MK fit in? If RW, where does this leave Solly? Is he now the RW backup? Can see lots of squad rotation coming this season with players coming in and out, and with there being no set 'first eleven'. Exciting times, and lots of selection headaches.
There's been a lot of pulling out of hair on this thread implying that our season would have imploded if McGill had had to replace Steele, with Sanchez taking the blame. This is doing McGill a disservice as he is a perfectly competent keeper, and no doubt would have acquitted himself well if...
No. 10 probably being reserved for when we sign Messi.
No.16 seems to be little used as well. Going back through my records I can only find Jahanbakhsh in recent times. Before that it was Ankergren, Hawkins and Kuipers. (no doubt some stato will correct me on this!)
I think a lot of players...
I haven't set foot on the site since we left, and have no intention of doing so in the future. Do drive past the site every time I go to the Amex though.
Peter Ward accidentally (I hope) trod on my toe as I edged past him in a crowded Amsterdam pub bar in Shoreham (I believe it was his local).
Tony Nicholas used to live at the end of my road, and when I saw him setting off in his white Ford Anglia (sloping rear window model) with a blue...
I thought he looked pretty useful still when he came on for Saints in their last game at the Amex. I know he only played for about 15 mins, but his skill was there for all to see. I was unhappy when he didn't choose us originally, but hope he can be persuaded to sign for us now.
So do I. Was looking forward to seeing him develop. At the time he was probably the best Albion player I had ever seen. I always thought that his death made us more determined to win the title as a tribute to him. In his 12 appearances we only lost twice.
As an aside in those heady days six of...
Agreed. Been enjoying it for over 60 years. These days usually with either strawberry jam or chocolate spread on the end crust of the loaf. Back in the day occasionally had both and even tried marmite and strawberry jam on it. It is also nice toasted, but haven't done that for many years.
Whatever is cheapest (or perceived to be best value for money). Must be my Scottish ancestry! I must also be getting old as half the products listed I have never even heard of, let alone bought.
Quickest I've ever got home from a match at the Amex. (helped by no queues for the bus as everyone else seemed to be staying for the post match celebrations). Journey back to EDF was 20 mins. Going however was 45 (lots of traffic on A27) as well as waiting for a while in Portland Road while the...
Thanks for the suggestions. I have managed to get NSC back through Safari, but still getting same original message if I go direct to Google or Chrome (I would mention that I am as adept with this technology as Bens Grandad was).
I don't use Archive.org, and neither can I find a preferences...
I've been getting the message 'The operation couldn't be completed. (kCFErrorDomainCFNetwork error 303.)' for several days on my iPad and can't access NSC from there. My PC and phone are working fine though.
I tried clearing cookies and history as suggested but to no avail. Any further...
Like others I was convinced it was offside. However it all happened so quickly that what my eyes told me was proved incorrect when I saw the replay. The presence of Estupinan must have confused me.
My day was 5 mins short of 12 hours. Left home at 10.50 to catch ST coach at 11.10. 3 hour journey to the pink coach park at Wembley. After game coach took a while to clear park, but got back to drop off point in 2.5 hours. Home at 10.45. All for 2 and a bit hours of football.
This is all reminding me of the 77-78 season when we were denied promotion to the top division by the actions of Spurs and Saints. It made us stronger and we gained our rightful place in the top flight the following season.
Whilst we should make a fuss over these incompetent decisions (any...
Just back from game. Helped erase the disappointment of yesterday. Interestingly we had 5 Irishmen on the pitch at the end, plus another two in the squad.
