How big do you think the military are in this day and age...discount those who are serving in places like Afghanistan, preparing to deploy or recovering from their last deployment and there wouldn't be a great deal to go around!
Second that...Gibson really has become a completely noxious twat...racist, homophobic and anti-semitic...a sort of grand slam when it comes to bigotry. I can't see him being hired to make many more films so that should be the last we have to endure of him.
On a similar vein, this time last year I booked a trip during the last couple of months of my travel insurance policy, the company were happy to take the details of the poilicy I had at the time on the understanding that I would notify them of my new details as soon as known.
This shows what we are up against, I would wager that the majority of fans who follow Coventry or QPR have a fairly strong geographical link with the clubs, there won't be many who we commonly term "plastics" who just follow the team because it is successful. Most Brighton fans, but not all...
A lot of fans adopted English/British emblems during the times that violence plagued the game, as some sort of warped badge of honour. I met some Anderlecht fans who had t-shirts made up with the Union Flag and the words "O-side Anderlecht, these colours don't run!"...and I don't think it had...
I have to say that the fuss about the Next sale leaves me almost at a loss for words, I can' think of anything that they sell that I would want to wear, even at half the price they normally charge. The days when Next clothes were well made and fashionable are long behind them, now it is little...
As long as he is playing I should be seeing Tubbs turn out for Crawley next week, I will watch how he performs and what he contributes to their team (other than the obvious of scoring goals)...then dig up this thread and post my opinions.
I suspect he may be a bit like Tim Sills, who scored...
Very harsh, but fair to suggest that he was pretty much one-dimensional in his play...if you could give him a ball to run onto, played on the floor, with maybe one defender and the keeper to beat then there was a fair chance he would score...but he wasn't very good at free kicks and couldn't...
Yes, for Salisbury, for whom he scored almost a goal a game in nearly 180 appearances...though this was during the time they were climbing the leagues.
He is 26 and it is reasonable to assume that, given his scoring prowess during his career, that if he had been really good then he would...
I agree with what Frutos said early on in the thread, about it not really being our business, despite the fact that people are eager to know...but I reckon we will spend between £250 and £500, probably on one player with maybe a couple more joining on a free or for an undisclosed sum.
If you do give that recipe a try, can you let us know on here how it goes...I am looking for some new recipes to add to my repertoire, beef rendang would be just the ticket!
When I went to bed the Aussies had lost their first wicket, during the night I dreamt that they scored over 300 on the first day...imagine my shock when I checked the score on waking up this morning...Happy Boxing Day!
