[Misc] Things that the UK actually does rather well

I'm not sure it is really that clearly defined anymore. The Cleese/Barker/Corbett sketch all those years ago was more appropriate then. Now, the edges have become blurred. Blue collar/ White collar doesn't really exist anymore. Life is much more fluid. Wealth can be created much more quickly now...

[Misc] Things that the UK actually does rather well

    1) Overweight and unathletic jogging. 2) Recapturing our youth ( pony tails and buying a motorbike again in your 50/60's ) 3) Discarding of litter. 4) Looking cool. Sunglasses on top of the head. Shorts and deck shoes. Paper under one arm. Designer coffee in the other hand. 5) Moaning about the...

    [Albion] "Legend" Status?

Who is still talking about Kraay, Parris and Worthington?

    [Albion] "Legend" Status?

There have been very few legendary footballers in history, let alone BHA. Names that have been passed down from generation to generation. Probably only Pele and Maradona. Ronaldo and Messi may join that elite status in years to come. No Brighton player has yet achieved that status.

Utter utter shite. Indescribably poor. No physicality. Shying out of tackles. Poor in possession. Wayward passes. Defensively shambolic.

[Albion] Unacceptable result - time for a boycott

See you there. There...not always negative....just an ageing, passionate supporter of 58 years, who goes to see his team compete and preferably win. I saw us lose to Leatherhead and Bedford and Walton and all the others. I watched us lose 2-8 to Bristol R at home under one of the greatest...

    [Albion] What WAS Roberto thinking?

I agree. I hope we finish bottom and go out. Best for all concerned. We can't cope with this fixture pressure.

Eleven PL games without a clean sheet perhaps indicates that we have deeper rooted issues that time will not eradicate.

Would imagine that Hibs gave them a better game than us.

No. Some of us knew that continually selling your best players would eventually end up with cracks appearing.

[Albion] Man of the Match - Aston Villa (a)

Not difficult considering most were about two yards long.

[Albion] Jack Hinshelwood [9/4/24: new deal to 2028]

He was a little boy lost. Out of his depth. Too soon in his career. Hiding at times. Hard to watch. Painful at times.

[Albion] Unacceptable result - time for a boycott

Let me just check...oh yes...thought so...we have lost 3 of our last 4 games...conceding 10 goals. The last being a total and abject surrender with certain players downing tools and the manager apparently being incapable of countering the opposition.

    [Albion] What WAS Roberto thinking?

No way will we finish in European places. We can't keep clean sheets and we can't keep scoring two or more goals to try and win games. We can't defend or score from set pieces and we lack real depth in the squad. We lack pace in defence and have too many lightweight players throughout the team...

The best chance of winning anything this season was the League Cup.

He is right in that respect. We gave up. I was there I saw it. Players allowed standards to drop alarmingly. Four sub par performances on the trot. Pressure of a lot of games starting to find out RDZ. HIs decision making today was the problem.

I don't want a refund. I want my team set up properly. I want them to be given every chance to compete. Not to be at the whim of a manager who, at the moment, doesn't seem to know how to best rotate this squad.

I can only assume he wasn't that bothered. As soon as we saw the team we were flabbergasted that he wasn't trying to counter their strong midfield three. We weren't even competitive against a good team that didn't have to break sweat.

Were you there? Did you suffer 98 mins of utter shite. Did you not consider that the manager by playing Gilmour and Hinshelwood effectively handed Villa the midfield and allowed them to romp to a big victory without having to play particularly well.
