Good advice it would be foolish for fans to be writing off a new signing after a couple of games that would indeed be knee jerk
Oh hang on a minute........
Excellent post and sums it up.
Nobody is suggesting the club are not trying but we have also been here before in windows with strikers and as you rightly point out this time around we are looking lighter for options to than ever. Imagine if Maupay had crocked his ankle against Chelsea we...
Not for me, only one PL season with more than 10 goals for a team who were playing some of the most attacking football in the PL suggest he is not the answer to our problems. Very much overhyped and not sure he would fit in with the way we play as we don’t move the ball forwards quick enough.
The kind of players that are paid that have transfer fees that are above our level so I can’t see it happening via that route.
If we could secure a top proven striker on loan for £100k a week that is £5.2m a season which against the £14m + wages we paid for Locadia and other flops looks like...
A £1000 bonus is never going to be enough to sway an employer to keep someone on if the numbers are not stacking up they need to lose staff to balance the books. The payouts they will be making will be to companies who would have retained staff anyway and is a huge waste of public money IMO
Little bit of protecting a young player there I think and Ryan may have had a part to play but Alzate played the pass blind when he had space to control and look up.
It happens and was one mistake in an otherwise very strong performance from him. Personally I think he will go onto the nail...
There was plenty of room around him to receive turn and make a pass the issue was not Ryan it was Alzate not being aware or looking around him before making the pass. He is young will learn, is not the first and won’t be the last but the error is his
I wouldn’t pay too much attention to the frustrations of a few posters on a football club forum and certainly would not link those opinions to the majority of people who attend matches.
I think you will find most Albion fans would have seen the positives in that performance but also will have...
Really impressed so far we are more than matching a team who have spent massively this summer and finished top 4 last season. A mistake aside and a bit of clinical finishing we are really in this.
Really liking the system looks solid but with numbers supporting Maupay when we get forward
Who cares does anyone actually watch the pre and post match nonsense as Carragher and Neville draw little lines over the screen to tell us all what will be and did happen. My advice switch on at 8.10 and off again at the final whistle
I was expecting him to be a regular starter for us scoring 5ish goals and maybe as many assists probably on par with say a Trossard. Early on in his career he showed such promise I thought we had a real player on our hands there were odd games where he would embarrass defenders and look a real...
Everton have an incredible talent of being able to spend hundreds of millions of pounds and still not progress any further.
Should be pushing top 4 on that spend but realistically will be 7th - 10th again
