While Welbeck is one of our backup forwards, Mauro Icardi (29 goals in 34 league games for Inter) has been left out of Argentina's squad.
Goalkeepers: Sergio Romero (Manchester United), Willy Caballero (Chelsea), Franco Armani (River Plate).
Defenders: Gabriel Mercado (Sevilla), Federico Fazio...
Blackout is not a formal medical term, but colloquially it is used to describe a temporary loss of consciousness.

It was both a faint and a blackout.
A faint is always a black out but a blackout is not always a faint.
Not all blackouts are faints, but in this case it was.
Once after pushing myself too hard during some sort of running exercise. I blacked out, but I didn't pass out as I remained completely conscious as I was talking to people explaining that I couldn't see anything. Was a weird experience.
Er, I was debating Mourinho's merits. I didn't say that wasn't worth debating. I was responding to a specific poster who made points such as:
- Pogba under Pep would be the best midfielder in the world by a distance (quite an extreme statement to make)
- The reason by Shaw and...
More hyperbole due to a clear agenda against Mourihiho. That's fine, this sort of thing is common among football fans, but it's not worth debating at a serious level. For that reason, I'm out.
I didn't say those criticising him were exclusively fans of other teams, I said "it seems it's more fans of other teams who want him out/say he shouldn't still be in a job". When you look at comments on football articles/social media, it does appear to be fans of other teams who are shouting the...
Quite a bit of hyberbole in that post!
I know it's fashionable to hate United and Jose, but United are in the best position they've been in since Ferguson left, despite having inherited a mess of a squad. I can quite easily see them winning the title next season with a couple of additions in...
Stones started the season at centre back with Kompany. Stones struggled to get his place back after injury I think.
I mean, now you're just talking about different things anyway. You were wrong and now you're trying to make different points.
Now you're changing what you originally said (playing first team football) to being in the starting XI.
Anyone, those players get plenty of starts for their teams (despite injuries/suspensions).
Those you listed as not regulars (PL starts only):
Welbeck: 12
Delph: 21
Stones: 16
Lingard: 20...
Sure, but Martinez left them 12th in the table and reached two cup semi finals that season. The season prior to that he achieved their highest ever points total. Given that context, his sacking was a joke.
It's not comparable. Everton are a far bigger club than we are, and quite rightly their expectations are set higher (both in terms of results and quality of play). Also, Allardyce has a history of getting his teams to play turgid football. It's pragmatic, but it's not what Everton fans want. I...
That's not a particularly relevant statistic, given he's only played four times in that period. You make it sound like he's had a long spell where he's been unable to score.
How has the rest of your list performed?
Crouch has scored ZERO goals for England since 2010.
All the players you listed played regular first team football for their teams. Apart for Welbeck, teams which finished one and two in the Premier League.
To be fair, I have some sympathy with Everton fans - their football has been turgid. Allardyce saved them this season but he's not a good option for them going forward - he's not going to change his ways.
I had far less sympathy with the goons who wanted Martinez out after he achieved their...
