Draw is the best result (one less point between them) but a Reading win would be okay. Ideally, if Reading win, it will be a really hard game which leaves them knackered for our game on Saturday (and Huddersfield too for their game at Barnsley).
I thought it was a bad decision at the time but I don't think I expected it to go as badly as it has. Think they have 0.5 points per game in the 12 league games he's been in charge. I wonder if it would have been any different if they'd held on against us.
Complete rubbish. Hemed had five goals in four league games before Ipswich and deserved to keep his place. To say he really stuffed up is embarrassing.
From the wording on the official site, it sounds like Rosenior might be back sooner. There's no mention of Bong being back soon so hope Pocognoli is okay.
As for the two, Bong of early last season is pretty much the same as Pocognoli. However, the way Pocognoli has played recently and Bong...
Just shows the ignorance of other fans. If we'd broken financial fairplay, we'd have had a transfer embargo yet people still confuse overall spending with what counts for financial fairplay. It is pretty simple yet some people just want to attack teams who do well.
We're very lucky to have three strikers (and a winger) who are scoring so many goals. Agree re Baldock last season. He contributed massively but never looked like scoring many. This year, he's got some crucial (and brilliant) goals to give us wins and continued to contribute in other areas.
We...
Agreed. Not sure why it is being debated. At the game it would probably have been easy to miss but looking at the highlights it was clearly a foul on Dunk and should have been a free kick to us.
I'm never sure of the rules for that. I thought you couldn't talk to clubs in the same country until about three months before your contract ends (not six) but could be wrong.
I don't see any reason for Stephens or Stockdale to rush a decision (in Stockdale's case, we don't even know he's had...
In fairness, he can't guarantee he's going to be here next season because we're not promoted at the moment. Even if we are promoted, he doesn't know what we will offer him (as I assume we'd offer more than we are now). Hence he won't say more than that.
The minute we get promoted to the Premier...
I don't think it's greater urgency but might be a combination of less pressure and more confidence. He went through a patch where he wasn't scoring last season when he must have been short of confidence and then, later in the season, the pressure was on him to score the goals. With Murray here...
This is completely right. I never get why it is not clear. If someone says they prefer one player over another, there is no problem with that. If they start threads saying a player has been under par recently, that's not an issue. It's the over the top hyperbole that inevitably comes with...
I thought we started well for the first 15 minutes but after the goal we never looked in danger but also didn't really push it. The same applied to the second half as we played well for 15 minutes and then lost our way allowing Burton a few chances and a goal.
It could still be a decider though. If we're four to six points clear with two games left, a win/draw would see us up. Not saying that will happen but it could do (and is the situation we are in currently).
Not sure that it will happen as they have plenty of games between Friday and Monday but you never know with Sky. We won't know for sure until end of March but it seems unlikely at the moment that we won't be on TV some time that weekend (and as others have said, when they've moved our home games...
That's Bank Holiday weekend. Last season, we, Burnley (both Monday) and Middlesbrough (Friday) were all moved for TV that weekend. As it is five weeks ahead, it will need to be decided by the weekend of the international break and, if we are in a similar position to now, it is very unlikely we...
Exactly. I would be surprised if there's ever 45 minutes of football in a half, even when injury time is added on. Even games like Brentford last Sunday, when there was seven minutes of injury time, still probably didn't end up with 45 minutes of play in the half.
I didn't say you can help what you think, just explaining why I thought differently. I expected Stephens/Baldock to go off around then and it should have been game over. I did think he might leave Hemed on but it was ideal in the end with Murray getting the goal too (even with a couple of nervy...
Stockdale 7 - Did all he needed to do with one great save, a couple of good catches and good distribution. No chance with the goal but not enough to do to get more than 7.
Bruno 6 - Looked good going forward at times but gave the ball away carelessly at times (including twice in 30 seconds in...
