To be honest, this thread feels like you are. The subject for starters suggested to me that you were saying we aren't ambitious. And, as I've said before, for all the talk on this thread Huddersfield have only actually signed one player so far and have a weaker squad than last season with Mooy...
No top flight experience and a reasonable number of injuries. Not sure it is such a great deal (bit of a risk which could pay off). Gross looks much better value from the outside.
You can never tell with a striker from overseas (and it's not even been confirmed by Huddersfield yet), although I agree he looks to be a good signing (much better than the other they've made).
I am very confident we'll have 3 or 4 more signings before the start of the season and then maybe add...
I agree with you. Seems pretty clear the club are making it clear they won't pay over the asking price. As usual, this seems to be regarded by some on here as a reason to panic and suggest we are relegated already.
I realise it is a football forum and we have to talk about something during the...
Not really. One hasn't been confirmed yet and the other doesn't sound any better than our current strikers. If we had signed the player they've got from Porto, there would have been a lot of moaning on here given his record
Decent looking squad. Does anyone know what's happened to Evans. Think he played the first two championship games but then got injured. Is he still injured or just not selected?
Pity for Burgess. His batting average is above a number of the batsmen so I did wonder if they'd play him as a...
Thanks for the link. Really useful reminder for some of the less patient posters on here that we are not behind other teams (and in fact are in front of many).
For all the fuss about Huddersfield (mainly from the OP of this thread), their only signing so far is a player whose goal scoring...
Completely agree with this. A few years ago, they might have had a point. However, we've had two successful summers in the transfer market and the club have earned the trust of supporters.
You banged on about that all last pre season, even after we signed Murray, and funnily enough it turned out you were wrong. We went up anyway. Every pre season you moan. Why not relax and just accept that the club know what they are doing? Enjoy the off season. This season is going to be...
Sorry, I didn't mean that Baldock was an alternative to Murray. It just annoys me that, in order to stand up for one players, people feel the need to slate another when both will be in the 25 man squad this season. It just seems unnecessary to me.
I genuinely can't believe some of the comments aimed at Baldock still after last season when he was a key part of our promotion. I agree we should be keeping Murray but that doesn't mean you have to attack the alternative.
Indeed. People will moan if we sign players as they are not what they wanted and they will moan if we don't sign players (same applies re new contracts).
Look at it the other way round. It is January and Baldock has surpassed expectations while Albion are struggling. No doubt there would be loads of people on here moaning about us not getting him on a longer contract in the summer and saying the club should have acted earlier.
What a ridiculous comment. So you are saying that because everyone disagrees with you they are part of the 'gormless hivemind'. Have you considered you are wrong.
This is irrelevant to whether he's part of the squad next year. Considering how important he is to the way we play and the goals he...
I think you are reading too much into it. We thanked both players after they signed for new clubs. Happy if I am wrong though and it does sound like we're progressing with the left back search.
