This, the man is a legend in my opinion...a great servant of the club...I am sure that a role can be found for him at the club somewhere, possibly working in the football in the community area or hosting VIPs on matchday, he would be a perfect ambassador.
I don't think this argument stands up, it is one you could use for just about any Championship side, most are of interest only in their local area or to a few fans who have moved away. Most people who tune into coverage of Championship games just do so because they are interested in football...
Put yourself in their place...you have just been crowned Champions of the league, do you want a keepsake from a long and hard campaign...something like your shirt to put in a frame in your living room, or your boots on the sideboard...I bloody would!

Does it really matter, most of the time there will be people sat in those seats so nobody will really notice what it looks like...I am guessing that it will look alright from the stand opposite anyway!
