Nostalgia is a stange thing, you cannot explain it to someone else that isn't feeling the same thing. I tried to explain to my son how it felt to be 15, walking along the Old Shoreham Road with 20+thousand other fans expecting that Peter Ward would stick a couple in the net. It was only when he...
I just don't understand why he is still hanging around with the Albion. If I was him I would have been away by now, either to find another club or another career.
He's obviously never going to get a chance in the first team. The loan signing of Flinders should have made that obvious to him. He...
I think he was a bit of a Bobby Robson type character. He obviously knew a fair bit about the game but quite often came over as being a bit confused. I once saw a documentary about when he was manager at Doncaster. In the days before teams had squad numbers your team was numbered 1 - 11. DB came...
Fraser needs to be given a chance in central midfield, not shoved out on the wing which is clearly not his position. He has played a couple of friendlies in the centre of defense. I wonder if this to sharpen his defensive midfield qualities.
I'm a parish councillor and the question that springs to mind is , where on earth do Falmer Parish Council get the money to pay for endless appeals against the stadium? In my village we receive a precept of £3,600 per annum, which comes from the council tax. Out of this we have to pay for grass...
I'm not sure why Sullivan hangs around. If I was him I would be away to try and establish myself somewhere else. I read somewhere that with Henderson, Kuipers & Flinders all taking up the first team and reserve team slots, Sullivan only played about four games of football all season. How is that...
It was encouraging in places tonight and I don't think the starting line up is too far away from what we will start with at Crewe. Kuipers made a couple of decent saves but also had a couple of flaps where he was nowhere near the ball. Back four steady. Thought Lynch looked better second half on...
I know its not central Brighton but the Lobster Pot in Longridge Avenue is something to behold. It's run by an extremely eccentric old Chinese couple neither of which appear to speak English. They frequently argue with each other and its sometimes a bit of a lottery as to whether you get what...
I didn't realise that if Glyndebourne get permission to do this they cannot directly use the electricity that the wind turbine generates. They have to sell the electricity to the National Grid and then buy their electricity like the rest of us. I appreciate that one counteracts the other.
What I think is interesting is that loads of people (me included) wanted Gary Hart to be given another year, but not a single person has put him in their team.
I thought it would be interesting to see how our views change after a few pre season friendlies. Also, don't know about you, but I am really looking forward to the new season.:albion2:
