Locadia has needed a season to settle in and AJ will probably do the same - they've both come from the Eredivisie which is a level under the English game. Confident we'll see a different bolder player net season.
I thought we played pretty well - it was really only Heaton that kept us from winning.
Just our luck to come up against two keepers two weeks on the trot that probably played their best games all season for their respective clubs
Possibly a variant on the old Villa song
"Oh Birmingham is wonderful
Oh Birmingham is wonderful
It's full of tits fanny and the Villa
Oh Birmingham is wonderful"
But I couldn't hear it properly - possibly because I was trying to fit those lyrics in !
Good luck Durlston - hope things are a bit better this morning.
I do a bit of DJing for the local hospital radio so am often walking about there late at night and they are big scary places full of strange noises and people rushing about at all hours of day and night.
As others have said there...
3rd round F A Cup away at Norwich. Got all the way up to Norwich and, first of all it started snowing then the floodlights failed so the game got called off. I know we lost the rearranged match and I didn't take advantage of Norwich City's kind offer to attend the rearranged mid week fixture...
Went to Bugibba some years ago and I described it as "Blackpool with sun" when I got home !
Valletta and Mdina are very nice though and well worth visiting
Went to Costa Teguise years ago - it was fine. It's a purpose built resort so there's little "charm". There's a huge market every week and quite decent walks around the area. Prefer Playa Blanca though - we had a great week there in March last year with 20 degrees every day - doesn't sound too...
I did look into it for a friend who was interested in taking his dad to the match as a birthday treat. It looked a fair deal though pricey - £200 for meal before then either a walk to the ground or coach then half time tea and refreshments and then a bit of hospitality afterwards. He balked at...
Given Sky's record of making it as difficult as possible for people to get to matches they'll pick either Huddersfield or Cardiff for an early kick off. I would imagine that police advice will preclude the Cardiff match being a late kick off on a Saturday or a Sunday (well I hope so anyway)
I spoke to the father of the first team coach - Matthew Hamshaw - when I was on holiday last year (he's noticed the Brighton towel on the subbed) and he said then that Rotherham wanted Towell and were very impressed with him but couldn't afford his wages. I guess that means he's either dropped...
NYC is good - lots of things to do but my favourite big city is New Orleans (perhaps because it was the first place I visited in the USA). Music everywhere. The other (smaller) place I love is St Petersburg in Florida - great weather, very laid back atmosphere and a fabulous blues festival every...
