You've both answered yourselves pretty well. People move into their comfort zones, what they know. But that doesn't really help the multicultural issue, because different communities live apart racism/prejudice arises because these communities aren't mixing.
I never said the word 'slum' just that it's run down. In comparison to alot of midlands towns, Brighton and other sussex towns don't really have much in the way of asian populations.
