[Other Sport] Official NFL Thread 2022/23

Will be interesting to see if Wilson can raise his game to the levels it has been when he has been surrounded by elite players. You are spot on that Wilson is very self aware and has selected Denver as he has the necessary tools he requires to be a game changing QB. Just the question now to...

    [Albion] Deniz Undav

I’d imagine playing in the PL is more attractive than a couple of CL games against some of the weaker teams, or if they win the Belgian league just 6 league games.

    [Albion] Should TB sack Potter?

Exactly … what has changed ? In my humble opinion it’s about the absence (AFCON) and then poor form of Biss coupled with the injuries/suspensions and sale of our CB’s. Biss gave that security that Webster/Burn/Veltman/Dunk and last season White could drive with the ball from the back and he...

    [Albion] Should TB sack Potter?

Also Dunk used to a bit…. Wonder if without the security of Burn and Webster he has been told to not do it

    [Albion] Should TB sack Potter?

We need variation in the squad. Too many players who want to play the same way and occupy the same space. Need a midfielder who can run with the ball and a striker who is always on the last defenders shoulder.

[Albion] ***Player Ratings vs Liverpool ***

Quite generous to Trossard, otherwise I’d agree with those. Teams have worked out how we play, in regards to isolating Lamptey against one defender to use his pace and creating space for Tross and Mac in the gaps between midfield and defence. We’ve tried 4 at the back to try and change how...

    [Albion] You're Adam Lallana

Not been worth the money we have supposedly paid for him but hasn’t been a waste of a signing. Right now I’m not sure what we do with him, has been very influential in games and understands how GP wants to play. However is injury prone and doesn’t either create goals or score them. Midfield...

[Albion] Brighton & Hove Albion vs Liverpool *** Official Match Thread ***

Part of yes…. Although I tend to find that’s a bit of a cliche. I’ve heard enough ‘pundits’ who are ex players talk about how players should have enough professional pride and desire to win matches that it can’t all be put at the managers door. Potter is to blame for some things but the form and...

[Albion] Brighton & Hove Albion vs Liverpool *** Official Match Thread ***

Think we have just got to the stage that the team needs a bit of a refresh. Some of the players either bored, undermotvated or simply just don’t care. Important summer where we are going to need to move a few on and recruit well

No because he didn’t handle outside the box

[Albion] Are Teams Finding Lamptey Out?

On too many occasions I think this is exactly the case but not limited to Lamptey. Around the box… in midfield … when we have the ball in wide areas. Always want to play that one extra pass and make it certain rather than make a quick decision

[Albion] Are Teams Finding Lamptey Out?

What utter rubbish Maybe hasn’t been at his best for the last two home performances, but has been our biggest threat in several games previously. Man Utd… Leicester… Spurs come to mind immediately. Problem is when he is playing in a back 4 he tends to be slightly more conservative going...

[Albion] Are we on the cusp of a cusp?

Current problem lies more at the players feet than Potter. Biss… Trossard two players who in the first half of the season were exceptional but currently either bang out of form or aren’t interested. Also with the injuries to the CB we have gone from a team who bring the ball out from the...

    [Football] Barn Door

That quote is quite clearly talking about on a matchday. As the question was asked specifically about GP being missing on the day. Fair amount of leaping to Bruno being the man on a day to day basis that is looking after the attacking.

    [Football] Barn Door

It wasn’t Potter it was Bjorn I think prior to the Leicester game (maybe Billy Reid) It was however specific to the warm up before the game that Bruno sorts out the attacking drills and Bjorn the defensive ones before the game. I don’t think it was about on the training ground.

[Football] Which of these players will be here in September?

That will depend on what we do with Van Hecke and Clarke I think. If they don’t go out on loan then could see Duffy moving on, but if one or both are loaned or sold then I’d imagine he will. I think we will sell Clarke and Van Hecke will become part of the 1st team squad.

Biss Baluta Ostigard Arce Will be the ones leaving, all the others will stay.

    [Albion] Dan Ashworth joins Newcastle

I’ve got to be honest I’m not sure there will be too many secrets to divulge which they couldn’t find out from other means. Football is quite a closed shop really, and because of that I’d imagine there a lots of open secrets about what clubs do and how they do it. I also think that Newcastle...

    [Albion] Dan Ashworth joins Newcastle

Guess that is my point … IF Ashworth is really that good we will notice a change, if he wasn’t all that he will be adequately replaced by someone who will keep everything moving as is, which will mean he isn’t all that great a loss
