First we take London! Labour are 7 points ahead in the Mayoral election polls

I can't understand how so many intelligent people can get excited by party politics. Zack Goldsmith is a goon as well as being a spoilt little rich kid. To vote for him would be unthinkable. Yet Labour have plenty of their own dopes who are anchored in 1970s campus uni politics and think you can...

    Who Are The Dingles?

Agree. The skates have got to be the southern Dingles. Stuck there on that island and always up for a scrap.

    Burnley appeal for help.

Why the fuss? Nobody minded when the Graf Zeppelin did a flypast at the 1930 FA Cup Final - Arsenal v Huddersfield.

Seb Coe's Olympic legacy for GB

Ms Brady has a high opinion of Mr Coe as he's gifted West Ham a place at the top table courtesy of the taxpayer.

[Albion] Are we all just a bunch of glory hunters ??!!!

Nothing worse than somebody who chooses to live somewhere and then slags off the local team. It is crass and arrogant. The bloke should be told to p*** off back to west London. I'm an exile and wouldn't be rude about the local clubs here as it's ignorant.

Boro forum - none too positive...

Perhaps the Guardian needs to educate them.

    Genuine question.

Burnley are a very fit team which is why they score a lot of late goals. I don't like Dyche although he is a good manager. It's because of his smug self-justification to the media and the damage he is doing to English football. The second reason might seem odd but managers like Dyche don't help...

[Albion] Tenuous links to Preston to further your claim to be a loyal supporter tonight - for 90 mi

After the game at Preston this season, I saw the PNE supporting sikh on a moped who is on the intro to C5's football highlights programme. Come on you Lillywhites! Come on the Invincibles!

Preston seemed a solid side when we played there and drew. Hoping you will draw. We shall see.

Palace fans GO by STEAM train

At that price I'd want the celebrity fans to put on a show. Bill Nighy in the bar. Mark Steel telling the jokes and Eddie Izzard camping it up and not getting a laugh.

Decent cafe for a full-English in Bethnal Green

Surely not for breakfast. I prefer coffee and croissants in a North Laine deli. Must be more of a Brighton poseur than I like to admit.

[Football] Next Saturday at the Valley

Thanks for that. I guess he chose you for this nonsense because of Charlton's good record of producing talented young players. Understand your anger better now. Good luck. You will win in the end.

[Football] Next Saturday at the Valley

Respect to Charlton who are a club we owe thanks for support in our dark days. What I don't understand is why fans think the board are so bad. The idea of multi club ownership is obviously wrong. But it has sent Watford up to the Premier League. As regards the team, it's not difficult to get...

    [Football] West Ham stadium details

Absolutely scandalous. No wonder Dave thought he was a West Ham fan that time. And the Mare of London was saying it was great for the local club. Wrong! That's Leyton Orient. West Ham are more of an Essex club than London now. The one positive is they'll collect loads of JCLs now which might...
