I did a triathlon 18 months ago and swam in the lake at Eton Dorney. In the last series of a league of their own they filmed in the very lake and Andrew flintoff fell in the water. Flintoff was born in Preston. Therefore I am pretty much a lifelong Preston fan.

Veteran cartoonist and illustrator Bob Bond, who lives in Worthing - and provided some cartoon match reports in the Albion programme a year or two back - is a mate and former colleague, and a lifelong Preston fan. Come ON you Lillywhites!

Preston is also closer to Brighton than Burnley so it is my local team in the immediate vicinity of the area around Preston and Burnley if you don't include other teams also local to that area.
Come on you Lillywhites!

From 1962 till 1971 I worked for a large Stationers in the centre of Brighton. For years they had envelopes specially manufactured for them, so they gave them names mostly of Rivers all over England. One of the best sellers was named after the Ribble which is the river that runs through Preston. That's all I've got, sorry.

High up on the South Downs.
After the game at Preston this season, I saw the PNE supporting sikh on a moped who is on the intro to C5's football highlights programme.
Come on you Lillywhites! Come on the Invincibles!

Preston is one of world snooker's favourite venues.... and I am watching the snooker now on BBC website.

Willy Thorne is one of the worst sports commentators in the whole world ever... and Lilywhites is an anagram of Willy Shite.

It is written in the stars, obviously I will be supporting the Lilywhites this evening :clap2:
