My mate Dave Young from Withdean introduced me to the Albion.
He moved away years ago to marry a dragon from the north. Saw the error of his ways, but never moved back. Not even sure if he follows the Albion any more. I hope so.
Thanks Dave. Miss ya.
I'd say there are two things that frustrate me with Trossard (NB see above, I'm a big fan of him):
- he sometimes takes the ball on one more tackle than he should and loses the ball (not as bad as Knocky)
- and related to this, he almost always takes an extra touch either slowing up the attack...
Totally let them have their moment. Not sure we were that confident after 3 games, but I haven't seen anyone say they're arrogant on this thread. Deluded possibly. High on adrenalin definitely.
My word.
We play like they did in 2018.
Defence is shit because White has gone.
Almost all going for a win (based on how hard their next games are more than anything else)
Maupay not playing (apparently).
Their amazing crowd will cheer them to victory.
I love their optimism, but the Prem is...
Another perspective. Would he be a player you worried about if he was in the opposition team? If he rocked up playing for Palace or Burnley or Villa? I think he'd be one that l'd be nervous about.
I don't recognise that as a Trossard trait. Think you need to take off your prejudice glasses and actually watch him play.
He's not faultless, but blazing over the bar is not his issue.
Do you remember there was a campaign which was "Plant a tree in '73" and they ran it again the next year as "Plant more in '74". I thought that was national, but I wonder if it was related to Dutch Elm Disease?
Local - West Pier closing c. 1975
National - 3 day week and power cuts (though I didn't understand the politics) early 1974
International - Yom Kippur war in Israel seemed to be in the news a lot 1973.
Seems until the age of 8 I was blissfully in my own little world playing "war" around The...
Some fascinating analysis of our loanee here:

A seson in the Potteries and then back here to become famous.
Thin up top (aren't we all) but robust enough to handle most things unless we get really unlucky with injuries I think. Potter always wanted a decent back up player for each position. This looks strong to me - with lots of time and attention focused in training on players who are more likely to...
Really talented natural finisher. Like so many strikers, needs confidence to realise his full potential. We can help with that o match days, or we can get on his back and harm the chances of our own team.
Example - look how well Webster developed at the empty Amex when there weren't 5,000...
I was driving back from Tunbridge Wells station to Crowborough, having secured funding for my business. I was bursting with excitement at the potential. I heard on the radio that a light aircraft had hit the World Trade Centre. By the time I got home, I saw the second tower get hit and the...
No one is arguing that we wouldn't be improved by signing a quality striker. Of course we need more cover there. But what has got on my tits today (and what has drawn me into debate) has been comments like:
- we're a weaker squad (often followed by a word like 'obviously')
- we're sitting on...
Plus....
all of the regulars have another 20-40 premier league games experience under their belts
and another season of finessing their Potter skills/tactics/positioning
and getting to know each others strengths and weaknesses.
