true - i did think that may be a reason....but these days especially in Brighton, do the Gay community really get bullied and socially excluded to the extent the majority of suicides can be put down to this?

Certainly not - but the arguments put to me by a Psychology lecturer opened my eyes and having done some volunteer work with some pretty depressed gay guys it makes you think that in "some" people minds its not a choice rather an illness.
It has also been argued that Homosexuals have suffered abuse in earlier life in some form, be it emotional or physical or sexual, with the victim often not knowing about it.
Do straight people "Cruise" supermarkets and then go in the lavs for some action? I think not...
It is argued that alot of gays have issues which they hide by coming out...it deflects the real issues, some people think that the "camp show" put on is the same as getting drunk or taking drugs, it...
It does back up the argument that the Gay community are a group of disturbed individuals with real issues who use sexuality in the same way as others may turn to crime, drink , drugs or suicide.

a) She does not see teaching as easy, the jobs are not comparable.
b) The pay is obviously worse but if you pro rata the hours worked per year i expect the hourly rate difference would not be as vast as expected.

Time is money so if I work till 5pm i have 5.15 till i go to sleep to myself -- that to me personally is worth more than the money i would get working/commuting till 21.00...i speak from experience of both sides...
I find them useful for an estimate of a time of arrival, besides that I could and do do without them. I used a TomTom on the way up to Forest, not needed for directions but timings were down to a tee.
I think the point you miss is that people follow the instructions to stand up when the stewards are insisting you sit down....the "if you hate palace" part is the silver lining...
