[Albion] Tottenham Hotspur vs Brighton & Hove Albion *** Official Match Thread ***

Interesting selection. Good performance so far, build up a bit slow but overall pretty good. Would be nice to have seen though two 50:50 pens even. Suspect we’ll be under more pressure soon

What about Jackie Stewart's son Paul who won a f3 race whilst crossing the finish line backwards....he had spun it

    [Albion] Premier League 30/10 - 2/11

Great footballer and seemed a nice enough guy from afar but never struck me as the sharpest tool in the box

Fair enough. Give it time, what TB has set up within the club is fantastic

Is this true? Anyway four below us have won less, shows how tough this league is and how poor some teams are atm

To state the obvious, as least its not a national lockdown

PM's announcement - at some point today, when he feels like it

Boris is out of his depth surrounded by a largely mediocre government ministers rewarded for their views on Brexit rather than competency. We have been hugely unlucky as a population over the last couple of years is one way of looking at it

Full national lockdown (not education) 4/11 - 1/12 possible

Yes, that is true,I interpreted yours rightly or wrongly as an example of a wider point

Full national lockdown (not education) 4/11 - 1/12 possible

Yes, we can’t and shouldn’t refuse. The sacrifices being made by everyone is so severe though it would be great if people did what they could (and thanks btw ) Read today in FT that vitamin d is really helpful “It is clear that the existing medical literature on the crucial role of...

Agree that the facts show that if you are obese or overweight you’d are more likely to get seriously ill and that there is a risk the nhs won’t be able to cope (although mitigated in part now the nightingale hospitals are now ready, one of the few successes of this shambolic govt). But there is...

Full national lockdown (not education) 4/11 - 1/12 possible

Not to your specific Q, but the allocation of scarce resource to our health service Vs other activity is by itself a life and death decision which the government make on our behalf

Full national lockdown (not education) 4/11 - 1/12 possible

Fair point but it would be good that the government reviewed that and other options and were clearer on why they are choosing the path they are. There are other options than the Hokey Cokey, e.g. the New Zealand that means ****ing getting on it, full lockdown long enough to kills it, managing...

Full national lockdown (not education) 4/11 - 1/12 possible

The government should be financially supporting the economy far more so than now, that takes some heat out of the situation. I wouldn’t have changed the previous furlough scheme, and I now would find ways to support some of those excluded such as the self employed. I say this from a typical...

Full national lockdown (not education) 4/11 - 1/12 possible

Agree there is no good way out and we need to find the least worst route out. By the nature and scale of the problem people will have different experiences, expectations and views on an exit. I’m not saying my opinion of a potential different path is right but I would like to see all main...

Full national lockdown (not education) 4/11 - 1/12 possible

You keep repeating “getting back to normality”, I didn’t say that but whatever. You use the word vulnerable, that is undefined and can be used to make the sweeping statements. Genuine question, and it may be 12m to 15m, but what is the population of the clinically extremely vulnerable...

Full national lockdown (not education) 4/11 - 1/12 possible

Sure, there is different guidance for those clinically extremely vulnerable. I don’t believe it’s compulsory. As you say, it’s advice. If we were to be more restrictive then the support for that section of our society would need to be massively stepped up
