    Common sayings people get wrong

Another one that is creeping in to common parlance is free instead of three. As one born in Yorkshire this should only happen if negotiating a very large discount on a deal ;-)

I have a colleague who deals with Pacifics instead of specifics. May I say the two are oceans apart. I'll get my coat.

Cheers fellas. I wasn't sure whether to go to 28s with a deeper tread. I like the Lugano's but coming from a CX bike they seem a little on the bald side for winter riding, just lack of experience i suppose.

I'm only bringing the new bike if it's not raining. General question about tyres on the new bike. It currently has Schwalbe Lugano (700 x 25c) on would the geeks recomend changing to some other tyres for dry winter days & if so what type/size?

Got to the shop this afternoon to be told that they hadn't noticed it was damaged when it arrived (returned to them by another branch) or they would have called to let me...

Thanks for that nickbrighton, it does help you appreciate the ride better than the standard Strava map. 1066familyman the steam engine has to stay as it is a reference to me trying to keep uip with the peloton on the climbs. Great day out all round & thanks to TrickyOne for organising it.

O/T Are there any engineers on here who could give a bit of advice/guidance?

I Completed my HND in Electrical /Electronic Engineering in 2014 at the age of 46. It took me four years "part time" study (be prepared to spend almost twic as much time in the evenings & weekends doing homework as you spend at college). My employer did sponsor me through college when fees were...
