Possibly, but I do wonder I feel those 'noises' are more of an attempt to give the impression that English football is lucky to have them and should reward them accordingly than a genuine wish to overhaul the status quo. On a purely financial basis, a European super league of, say, 20 clubs...
I think this would be the ideal situation for many, but not sure there will ever be the collective effort to make it happen. Would take a real change in attitude from fans of those clubs and a hpshift in power to such a point that little clubs don't even compete with the bigger ones. This is...
Have a newly acquired ticket for Kraftwerk at RAH so looking forward to it a lot having read many positive comments on this thread!
Got back from my 7th Primavera on Sunday - wonderful weekend as ever with perhaps slightly fewer stand out acts than usual - very much enjoyed Broken Social Scene...
Probably able to commit mor enthusiastically now that his character ha seen written out of Game of Thrones. Seriously, he looks scarily like Ramsay Bolton!
Really pleased they've managed to make the move work - deserved by all parties,
Picked up tickets for Richard Dawson this week, as well...
All Saints is an atmospheric building but the sight lines are terrible and they criminally oversell it - with those massive pillars down either side it is impossible for everyone in there to have a view of the stage. Will also not forget the acoustics on the Deerhunter gig there for a while (not...
Oh and also, much as I have huge sympathy with promoter, would much of this chaos and confusion not have been avoided if a venue with a track record of hosting live music had been booked in the first place - not sure how many tickets were sold for a Clarendon but surely TOM, Haunt, Corn...
Selfishly pleased as means I can now go, although I realise this is a nightmare for many, especially London based fans (including a pair of friends who had tickets but will presumably have to pass them on now). Transport sounds like a nightmare though, I just don't really fancy piling onto a...
The sad reality is that for most clubs in the Premier it's all about staying up every season. Once you are a team like Stoke there's no time much else to aim for. However, given that we're a good few seasons from this being a problem we can enjoy a few seasons of relegation dogfights,
Series 3 has been excellent. It really makes it such a shame that series 2 was so poor. The show could easily have run for many series with a different central case each series. Because they chose to drag out the same case in the middle series and knew that series 3 would be the last before...
Hmm. Ask me 8 years ago and I would have scoffed if you'd suggested missing a local Flips gig, but not sure I can be bothered with this one. I haven't spent much time with the new album - what's going to sell me on this tour? Anything new?
The whole 'Faulty Tower' idea is a total non-story. Considering its quite a unique piece of technology and not just shipped in Ferris wheel it has had good reliability for its first year. It could easily have been down for high proportions of the year. Just look at newly opened roller coasters...
I'll give you a music based response. First impressions of In Mind are that it is a big step down from last couple of albums. However, and a big however, Atlas took a while to grow on me and it's now one of my most returned to albums of all time so I'm not giving up hope on new one yet...
Live very close by - very often see people kicked out having a barney with security in the street - always a good welcome. Good if you're willing to take a chance on clientele though as they serve till 2in quiet Hove even on a weeknight,
Can see this becoming a very popular way for clubs to profit from shared season tickets. Put photo ID on every season card, say it has to be the named ticket holder using it, but offer a £5 service for ticket forwarding. Club can still say it reasonably allows people to share season tickets but...
All away tickets will have some sort of number on them, as well as a seat number, so all that would need to happen is for a record to be kept of which number ticket/seat was going to which fan Id - I'm sure this happens anyway. You'd then only need to change Albion fan ID numbers to actual names...
