Perhaps. But to suggest Spurs and Chelsea et al do not have an equally strong history of violence is naive. When Spurs play West Ham or Chelsea, or when Chelsea play West Ham, there is never more than a few seats and a line of stewards.
I never understand how the MET and stewards can cope with about ONE seat buffer zone when Spurs play at Chelsea etc but need two blocks or so when Brighton play at Palace.
