Absolutely: is it really such a terrible thing to be an hour early and enjoy a cup of coffee and a newspaper in peace, rather than pushing through a security queue and racing to get to the flight?
We held a dinner party for some friends: one of whom turned up very pissed, much to his wife's anger. He ate the starter and then got up quietly and lay down on the rug in front of the fire and fell fast asleep. At the end of the meal, just as we opened the door to see the night out in the...
Is the club planning a get-together of Albion Old Boys for the launch of Falmer? I was triggered to think of it by some of the pictures posted on one of the threads on the Big Board. Would be great to get some players from the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s along to help celebrate our new stadium.
I went in there quite a few times - it was very small (by today's standards) with a bar on one side. On one occasion I spoke (unsurprisingly) to Graham Mosely - his was a reasonably well known face in the bar!!!
BTW anybody notice the old Townsend Thoreson advertising behind the players`...
I'm due to be in NYC 20 - 24th September. I'd like to see a baseball game. What's step 1? (I know little about the sport or the teams but I'm sure it would be a good craic)
Personally I think it's a bit bloody rich. Already the Olympics has hoovered up vast amounts of the grants that used to be made available to all sports, leaving those other sports needing to go out and find sponsorship from: small and middle sized firms. Now the Olympics finds that its `blue...

New France coach Laurent Blanc requested that no member of the squad be selected for a friendly against Norway in Oslo on 11 August.
France failed to win any of their three...
Mrs CG works at a secondary school and it goes on there for the form tutors. One of her nicer pupils asked her earlier this week if she likes chocolates, so that's a hint of what today will bring!
Well ask him: I don't know any more than you do. What I'm saying is that it's not the club but the personnel and the manager he's more concerned with. He's not looking to sign up with a firebrand manager because - the way I read it - he's come to terms with the fact that he has weaknesses in...
However all I would say is that he is seeking non confrontational employment, aware, one imagines, of his own problems and limitations in dealing with conflict and strife. That is a sign of growing up and maturing. But ultimately I'm sure you are right???
On the contrary, I think it does show he's matured. He's thinking about what's best for himself and his family, not just for himself, his bank balance and his ego: I think stuff like this demonstrates he's turned the corner.
