At the age of 50....I played my last game at 48, so my current involvement in the game is propping the bar up at hone first team games when there isn't a viable Albion games, and attending HQ for one Autumn game (Aus this year) and one six nations game (Wales).....tickets permitting, but usually...
I cant fault your positivity, and your point regarding us not being a selling club is well made, I am however a spiteful individual who would like to see those clubs exploiting the system, putting well run compliant clubs at a huge disadvantage, 'go to the wall' metaphorically speaking, points...
But I have just read those penalties, the only consequences for non-compliance is a trf embargo until we do comply. Financial penalties only apply if the team gets promoted to the prem, that penalty will be easily paid off with the Prem money,... so I believe its toothless in its current format.
These sanctions are only for clubs who get promoted,... clubs that stay in the Championship are subject to a trf embargo.
I wonder if that's the same trf embargo that Watford are under, you know the one that allowed them to bring in 11 new players.
Does a points deduction come into this at some point? I am sure I read that somewhere too. Points will be the only way to ensure there is compliance, and thus a relatively level playing field,.... well level if you don't consider the massive advantage the parachute payments present.
If it wasn't a surprise, then why was there this sudden surge towards cost cutting? FFP has been in the pipeline for a while now, so that isn't new. I am sure TB et al were caught out by the level of losses, else there wouldn't have been this panic last year once the 8 million operating deficit...
Shut up will you,... if you read my post(s), its simply expressing a bit of frustration that we are seemingly behind a lot of comparable clubs in this division, despite having the largest crowds every week. It is allowed you know.
I agree, we are a club with the right intentions and the correct strategy for the current FFP environment.... we are however suffering from the miscalculations made leading into, and in the first two seasons at the Amex.
Sadly I fear, and I don't take any pleasure out of saying it, that the crowds already are tailing off. I am not going into the reported vs actual attendance debate again, but we all know that there was not 26807 there on Saturday, or even for the Derby and Burnley games. This simply equates to...
I tried it for the first time on Saturday, it worked in the Swan beforehand, albeit with just the early results info, but it failed miserably in the WSU and drained my battery quicker than a quick thing in a very quick place. I have a Galaxy Nexus on android 4.3. I uninstalled it sharpish.
My...
I think 99% of us would agree, it just grates that clubs across this division are either taking a chance, or they are unaware or don't care about the consequences..... that's what is pissing some of us off. I personally have a decent income, I have plenty of time and motivation to watch the...
Exactly, hence the frustration.....but of course asking that question will see you branded a Thicko by the all knowing brigade on here...........sadly, just typing Ffp each time without explaining how this doesn't apply to some of our competitors just doesn't cut it.
Bore off.......only one of them actually playing.....I watched Barker for the u21's today, not good enough, so that leaves us going nowhere fast. Low end of mid table, and I am not being melodramatic.
