    [Albion] Our midfield triangle

Good thread. Interesting and chewy for GP. Mwepu will be great. Early days. And gut feel is that Caicedo well be a smasher with a bit more game time under his belt. Ali Mac needs game time to develop too, but I wonder where that will come from. Potter being pretty consistent now with...

    [Football] Maupay

Huge sign that Maupay is maturing that many seem to have missed on Sunday. After the first goal all of the Leicester players took turns to try to wind Neil up (orchestrated by Shmichael). He took loads of digs, hair ruffles, verbals. And he did nothing more than smile. Maybe he's turned a...

[Albion] Brighton & Hove Albion vs Leicester City *** Official Match Thread ***

World quality: Bissouma Prem quality: Dunk, Cucurella, Lallana, Will be Prem quality: Sanchez, Webster, Trossard, Moder, Lamptey All the rest - very servicable Prem players With some good (to great) youngsters coming through in large numbers. It's starting to happen isn't it.
  4. Couldn't Be Hyypia

[Albion] Marc Cucurella *Signed For Chelsea 05/08/2022*

We saw how hard we are to play against with pace on both wings today. March on one side and Cucu on the other. The oppo defence can't double up on the one speedster, they have to cover both so they drop wider and deeper - which makes them more vulnerable down the middle. Swap Lamptey for March...

[Albion] Marc Cucurella *Signed For Chelsea 05/08/2022*

Chris done good. Here he is with Shane Duffy after the game.

  7. Couldn't Be Hyypia

    [Albion] Enock Mwepu (Retired 10/10/2022)

He set up a stunning opportunity by himself and slid a super ball into the box. Another day and that was a goal. Yes he looked nervous, and he seemed lost at times, but Leicester are the masters at moving you out of position and exploiting the gap. He's had half a game in the Prem before he come...

    [Cricket] T20 Finals Day, Edgbaston

Poor poor performance against those buggers from the East. Sussex set for a few years of low rent cricket I fear.

    [Cricket] T20 Finals Day, Edgbaston

Luke Wright is an amazing batsman, but he does look a bit village when you look at him. Slightly less svelte than he was.

[Albion] Goodbye Ticket Office, Hello Customer Services.

I'm not too worried about the nomenclature, but a ticket office, for me, isn;t a ticket office if there aren't steps down to it. I blame this beauty...... FA Cup final tickets, buying low grade crap at the shop, getting a replacement for my season ticket book. So many times. Happy, happy...

Nickbrighton and his like are the reason that we have an owner who can afford to lend the club hundreds of millions. Cheers Nick :drink:

Was just about to post that too. Good spot. Well worth a read.

[Albion] Points from the next 6 games

Solly back and Cucurella as competition Hopefully Lamptey back. Moder rapidly becoming this season's BW. Tross clearly benefiting from the confidence his Belgian games have given him. This team will get better after having already picked up 9 from 12. Harder run of games, but improving team...

[TV] Mortimer and Whitehouse - gone fishing

Still watchable, but not compulsive viewing any longer. A comfy cardi. One thing that struck me and Mrs Couldn't Be Hyypia is the music. They have gone very "Homes Under the Hammer" with very literal music choices illustrating each scene/point. Not sure they need to trowel it on that much.

[Albion] Jakub Moder - SIGNED ON 5 YEAR DEAL - LOANED BACK "FOR THE TIME BEING"

He's fantastic. What a signing. But as others have said, where the hell do all these midfielders fit in? Some very able players are going to be pretty disappointed. Gross missing on Saturday, and I think it showed (although I'm not accomplished enough as an analyst to be able to work out what...

[Albion] Brentford vs Brighton & Hove Albion *** Official Match Thread ***

Their pressing game served them very well. But in the Prem, it's not possible to keep that up against sides that can pass round you. Their energy level dropped in last 20 minutes and there was really only one side going to take the points. Didn;t see their strikers in the last 20 minutes.
  20. Couldn't Be Hyypia

    [Albion] Brentford fans

We just saw the difference between a side that has played together in the Prem for two + years under Potter against a side that has come up this season. They haven't lost in 15 games - the Prem is just damn hard.
