[Albion] Brentford vs Brighton & Hove Albion *** Official Match Thread ***

This is very old skool. At the game or Sussex locals listening on the Radio. The rest just feeding on scraps. Weren't we spoilled last season!

[Drinking] Alcoholic/like a beer or two too much?

I'm entirely with you on this. I stopped (as I have always done) in January and then just carried on. I haven't given up booze, but just don't choose to have one today. I can't see a time when I would drink again, but it's not verboten or against my values, I just don't. It seems to work for me...

    [Albion] Premier League 11-13/9/21

But you hope for wins over #TeamsLikeBrighton, not expect them shirley?

    [Albion] BHAFC U23s v Blackburn U23s at the AMEX - 10 Sept

What strikes me (and I know it's no accident) is the way these youngster ougth to be able to just fit into a more senior side because the approach is identical. They'll have the right skills and know their roles. This club of ours......

    [Albion] Premier League 11-13/9/21

Brentford v Albion is a funny one. They seem very confident of a win and after four years in the Prem, we feel like we should be able to get more points from newly promoted sides. Someone is wrong. I hope it's them.

[Drinking] Alcoholic/like a beer or two too much?

I've been off the booze for about two and half years now. I genuinely don't miss it any more. And I was known to love all the crafty beers and had a lot of white wine stored up. I tried alcohol free beers way back and they were terrible, but the technology has moved on massively and there are...

If you can get past the cheesy sincerity of it, This Is Us is a very good programme, and it's on Prime.

I was once telling my confident, successful 27 year old daughter about a business trip to Prague. My hotel was in a rather run down bit of the city and I had to use an under pass. One evening as I entered, a group of rowdy lads came from the other direction. They didn't do anything wrong, but a...

I'm assuming you are white and British. Your comment displays the lack of understanding that stumpy is trying to illustrate. It's hard for you and me to understand what it must feel like to be a minority, and it's that lack of what I think they call 'lived experience' that we have to try to...

[Cricket] England v India, Fourth Test match, The Oval, 02-06 September

I'm not a gambler, but don't the odds just reflect the weight of betting? In which case, this is simply a case of England fans, in England, being optimistic and believing the hype in the media and having a punt isn't it?

We use Shred It. But I think all these companies are pretty similar. It's easy and good value. ignore staples. Don't try and burn it. It takes way way longer than you think and big blocks of paper don't burn, they just go out.

    [Brighton] Trossard or Knocky.

Wouldn't matter. Loved Knocky but Trossard is a way better footballer.

    [Football] Oldham Protest.

Perhaps they are missing their plastic pitch? That seemed to give them something of a home advatage whilst they had that (yes, still bitter after all these years - and I'll also never forgive them for that thing they called a "pie" as well)
