[Albion] Facundo Buonanotte **On Loan To Leicester 10/08/24**

Looking at reports his contract is up in June. They've got some serious balls if they don't sell in January...

[Football] Crawley Town no longer officially exist

Lewes had a mass exodus which meant pretty much the whole squad who got promoted as well as the manager, Steve King, left the club. The club had some financial issues due to the recession at the time and went straight back down as they were only playing youngsters at the time. It meant they...

4-1 Baby! We've had a lot of luck this year but we have also made our own luck. No Bridgewater next week either from the looks of things. I know he isn't the same since the injury, but I will always have a soft spot for him.

[Football] The Non-League Football Thread- 2022/23 Edition

Wasn't able to get to the Amex last weekend due to train strikes in my week back home which was a shame, but I managed to catch Eastbourne Borough dismantling Weymouth 5-1 which could've been a lot more. Not sure of the attendance but it did look like quite a few, as U16s now go free (although...

[Football] Crawley Town no longer officially exist

That's correct. It was actually the game that relegated them and was rearranged due to a postponement earlier in the season. They still had some first team players mind, but it was pretty much anyone who could get the time off work played. Danny Bloor is doing an excellent job and I was there...

[Football] Crawley Town no longer officially exist

I remember the days of Borough in the Conference National. They would get 2000 for the bigger games and around 12/1300 for the smaller ones. Was a real shame they struggled to hold their own, but the season before was a lot of fun battling with Lewes at the top.

[Misc] Things about the South you have only just discovered

Now that is a throwback for me! I used to walk through Glebe Twitten to get to the high street when I was a kid. And then straight through Mytten Twitten! This had been bugging me for years!

    [Football] Union Saint-Gilloise

Yes and no. People use -je for a lot of things here, often ironically. The Belgians use pintje in the same way you are suggesting, but someone Dutch would mean going for a classic English pint but only a quick one. There are quite a few differences between Dutch and Flemish, the classic being...

    [Albion] Spurs Tickets

It's tough! I usually do one home game a season and then a couple aways. I do miss the pies!

Will probably end up going to the Borough instead and catch the Albion game in the Sports Bar after.

    [Albion] Spurs Tickets

It's still quite a journey for me. Falmer > Brighton > Eastbourne > Sovereign Harbour. Think it's tough to justify the travel time when I'm flying back Sunday.

Correct, or know someone who is a season ticket holder.

    [Albion] Spurs Tickets

Yep, this is the case here. I'm over for the week in Eastbourne. Not a chance I'm going to the game unless they call off the strike.

[Sussex] Any oldies living in Eastbourne in the 60s?

Yeah I saw he wrote Nilsen and thought that may be where he is going wrong. Ratsit and Hitta are proper scary for me. Don't think any other country has anything like it.

[Sussex] Any oldies living in Eastbourne in the 60s?

Isn't this what Hitta is for? I suppose she may have a different surname, but maybe you can filter. Still can't believe this is a thing in Sweden btw. I'm curious whether the 'Svenska flicka' (lovely Swedish :lolol:) will find it cute or creepy. I'm sure her husband will be delighted too if...

That was close in the end! Not going to complain about 2-1 at this point in the season. Smith's absence was felt and and Irv had far too many crucial drops. Thank god for the time out!

[Football] Alan Pardew back in management

I met Alan regularly whilst he was the manager of ADO as I was working as a reporter for the local paper. He was a genuinely nice bloke and actually had a lot of time for me and the other reporters, despite some of them not being particularly nice to him. I wore my seagull necklace and despite...

[Albion] The 2022-2023 Loanee Tracker Thread

I was at this game. Scherpen is an absolute GIANT. Didn't look comfortable the whole game unless catching the ball and was lucky he didn't concede more. He didn't take the goal kicks either (perhaps an injury?). He did however, make one fairly impressive save, where his height made it look more...

[Albion] Billy Gilmour SINGED on a four-year contract

Reading what some of the Ajax fans are saying, they're more pissed off that a few players have refused to train.
