Depends on the owner objectives, in the case of City Football Group, it's the kudos of being successful, for other owners, it helps to de-risk the implications of relegation. Own one club and it gets relegated and you've got a financial problem (especially in the Premier League) own six clubs...
Investment strategy is to become a multi club ownership model, similar to Manchester City, Brentford, perhaps PIF and it could be argued Tony Bloom too.
According to my sauce whilst Sport Republic have raised £100m for the deal from shareholders the actual price they have paid to Gao is higher than that.
Gao bought 80% of Southampton for £208m but hasn’t put any money into the club itself. He was willing to accept a loss but not one as big as...
TBF to the club Paul Barber did ask for views a few years ago and the response was fairly apathetic with hardly any replies.
Given that
(a) It’s going to cost Tony Bloom money
(b) Any changes would be on a 1:1 basis so no increased ground capacity and
(c) Highly unlikely that standing would be...

They took out a big loan from MSD at 9% interest so that is included in the deal.
It’s the equivalent of buying someone’s house for £200k but as part of the agreement taking on their mortgage of £100k and paying them £100k. The value of the house is the sum of the two amounts.
Makes sense. In a job context I take the view that there are no stupid questions and so try to apply that 100% of the time as it is the professional thing to do.
In a broader environment some questions can appear ill thought out or are there to provoke a reaction and perhaps don't warrant an...
Not explained the subject very well, or not explained it very well to you?
It could be that by asking a question you are showing interest in an element of what the teacher said and you want them to expand upon it as you want to know more about the subject matter?
Fair enough. I have a job where answering questions is a core component. Encouraging people to ask questions helps to create an enquiring mind and a love of education, which is good for personal development. Therefore there's a case for saying every question should be treated with a degree of...
Whilst there’s no doubt the second was a howitzer of epic proportions, the more often I see the first makes me think it was a creation of exquisite beauty.
I asked Toyah Wilcox about the attendance last night and she said It's a Mystery.
Big up to the staff though at the Amex, who were great before and after the match, especially directing people to park and ride etc.
Less of a big up to the bellend who tried to drive through me and some others...
No, it’s the clubs who vote on the deal between the PL and the broadcasters. The PL is the negotiator with the likes of Sky Sports, not the decider of when slots are made available, that’s determined by clubs.

No I’m not.
STH have their lives messed around by broadcasters, who give clubs an extra £1m per match when shown live.
Some of that could compensate STH who are unable to attend due to the KO being changed.
