I kid you not but as a very young child I was bought a comic called 'Bimbo'. This would be end of the 1950s. I think Bimbo was the name of a penguin? I have never seen any copies of this comic since then or met anyone who has a memory of it.

My great grandparents ran the pub that you can see with the Worthington sign . It was called The Central. I still have oil paintings from the pub given to my grandfather just before it closed in the 1920s. Western Road was widened and all the buildings on that side were knocked down.
