Sadly just the tip of the iceberg.
A horse’s racing “career” lasts about 3 years yet their life expectancy is between 25 and 30 years.
Sadly they often end up at abattoirs, which is fine in my opinion so long as their meat is fit for human consumption and the killing is done humanely...
I’m not sure we’d manage that level of detail even if the wife and I spent every free moment in the garden!
Our garden is far from being an exhibition one! We prefer to sit and enjoy what we do have.
We probably break every rule in gardening by just plonking plants in and they either...
Somewhat twisted view of how Israel occupied territory once owned by Arab neighbours - those areas were lost by Syria, Egypt and Jordan following wars started by those countries. If you start a war and then lose can you really claim that if you’ve lost territory it was a “land grab”?
Have concentrated acids and alkalines in bottles on each student’s bench - safety equipment consisting of a white cotton lab coat with holes in where splashed with acid in the previous lesson.
On the muckier side of gardening if anyone wants well rotted, (4 year old), horse manure then we have tons, (literally), of the stuff. We use very little straw so it is really fine and has no smell.
Anyone fancying a trip to the Gatwick area to collect then send me a pm and I’ll let you have...
Not a bee hotel but we do have a sweat bee nest in a rotting log next to our pond.
Not a particularly good picture I’m afraid but difficult to get the exact moment a bee is entering the nest.
Compared to the £70 million pound the BBC pay just for PL highlights and the money the PL players receive partly from this payment the figures for their top ‘stars’ appear quite reasonable!
Car drivers are used to “stopping every 10 yards”, why should it be any different for a cyclist. I suspect that it is the effort required to start off again that tempts many cyclists to use their brakes only as a last resort.
As for a car driver not being jailed for hitting a pedestrian who...
I agree with most of that - TB has done wonders for the club and I’m more than happy for him to be investing his money and making decisions as he sees fit. I’m certainly not going to say where, how and on whom he should spend his money.
My only disagreement is with the regurgitated statement...
The only ones likely to come out of this as winners are the lawyers.
The pedestrian will get the damages awarded less the lawyer’s fees - the cyclist will pay the full amount plus court costs.
The judge said the blame was 50/50 - if the cyclist counter claims then presumably he will get...
Are you saying that the customers of the car parking firm, (i.e. the garage owners), couldn’t instruct them to cancel any erroneously issued tickets in the same way that shops, hotels etc. can?
