What position were you all saying he was not suited to last season then? .... never mind, I know, it was actually whichever position Gus played him in.
I think the football was as skilful as now, its just that players are more athletic now, so the game is played with generally more pace. Pitches didn't help for sure, but generally games at the beginning and end of season were played on decent surfaces.
Considering your first Albion game was 1994 ( in your profile), how the deuce do you have a view on whether the football or atmosphere was better or worse?.... watching a bit of archive footage or big match highlights doesn't in my view give you the picture you need to make a solid judgement.
Surely not, .. only a few short months ago you guys were saying that Barnes underperforms because he is always played out of position on the wing, or as a floating midfielder,...now you are saying he isn't a striker either,... can anyone enlighten me where he is best suited?,... I think we can...

Its was more atmospheric for sure, the rampant tribalism generated a real fervour that you rarely see these days, there was real imagination in the songs sung, they were always designed to deliver a message to the opposition, but don't forget that was all offset by the danger and the crap...
All the key moments back to the mid 70's, but for sheer emotion, the Doncaster Amex opener was right up there..... grown men with tears flowing all round me,..... was terrific in my view.
I think you may be right, he has got wind of the terrible bashing he takes on NSC from some very callous and uninformed posters......its terrible that he may be driven out.....terrible.
Not that small, but very permanent, but also requested in the planning discussions, because the residents wanted protection from noise, light and Ashley Barnes's shooting..
Not that amazing,.... certainly some picture postcard spots dotted around, but Mustafa, a more corrupt and disorganised country you will hard pressed to find, ... amongst so called 1st world countries at least. Skimming of the big industries by a small criminal community after the fall of...
