Two thoughts about today...
- everyone thought we would struggle without Dunk and Webster - and we did. That's the context that I'll put our first half performance in.
- December and still only one away defeat. Amazing! I'm going to the next away game so there will be a second before Christmas...
“You’ve always got to provide a reason why players would come and play for your football club,” Potter says. “And if it’s just finances, then we’ll hit our ceiling, because 95% of the league’s determined by finance.
“So you have to provide something else: an identity, a style that players can...
I love our Neal. Yes, he's not a clinical striker, not yet anyway, we can see that now, but my god he keeps his head up, keeps going. Keeps getting in good positions, keeps working his ass off, keeps putting himself in the thick of it.
I dont think it's a coincidence that his three technically...
I dont think any of those things matter - he was obviously in pain. There was a time when players put the ball out if someone was injured, now they hardly ever do it even if it's someone on their own team!
I reckon if Man U had scored like that against a team like Brentford there'd be a bit of...
Obviously funny.
Obviously had to be given by the ref
However I have the nagging feeling that Arsenal should have let United equalise, its not the best sportsmanship to score in that fashion.
So? I was blooming annoyed when Trossard's goal was disallowed at Anfield. Didn't stop him being offside by about the same amount as Antonio was yesterday though
He was a yard offside when the ball was played to him. Not really anything to doubt there.
It's hard to see if it touches him - but the angle shown on MOTD clearly shows that it does.
So it's really a very simple offside decision when broken down. It just took a long time because its weird...
I have never had a problem with a draw in the Premier league. It's defeats I hate. A draw is fine, hard fought game, hand shakes all round, off to the pub.
Playing well and losing, that's what gets my goat...
Draws on the other hand have kept us up in this league many a time
I think, if I can interject into the Swansman back and forth, that if GP wants to try this system and thinks it might be good for us, that he is allowed to give it a couple of games to try it out, rather than ditch it the first time we have a bad half playing this system. I think he is allowed...
Obviously my comment was tongue in cheek, but it speaks to a wider truth. Potter has never been afraid to practise things, try different things out, all the while he's been with us. It doesn't always work, but I don't mind that. You don't progress without experimenting, working on new things...
For all the stick Gus took, there has to be a ceiling, right? We're not going to keep on improving all the way to being Champions of Europe are we.
Were 8th in the league. Maybe this is our ceiling. Probably not even that high. Admittedly we've got here by a load of good results followed by a...
Have to agree with you for once. Fine to do it at Anfield, but against Newcastle and Villa, nah. Especially when Maupay had been playing well all season, what must he be thinking?
And if we're going to do it, do it better. You need runners from midfield bursting into the box, but that's not...
Rather hard to know which side you're coming down on with all the sarcasm liberally sprinkled around :lolol:
But it does indeed appear from everything written on here that this couldn't have happened without Brexit. However as Amazon aren't accepting Visa credit cards you and I will not need to...
Have those stats poured water over that fire? Only three defeats in those 13 games, and one was a caretaker manager away at Leicester, another was against Liverpool. New managers are usually appointed because the previous manager was losing loads, so undefeated in 10 out of 13 looks like a...
The aggression on this site gets too much sometimes. BryNylon makes a perfectly valid point and interesting argument, your response is a totally reasonable counter-argument but why couch it in such aggressive language? Hard to fathom at times.
Historians regularly make new allegations about people who lived 100, 500 or 2000 years ago. Archaeologists and anthropologists go back tens and hundreds of thousands of years. So I think that 10 years is relatively small-fry
