And Baltacha, and Keothavong, and others I'm sure.
I've had much the same thought as you, it's obvious on opening this thread that someone will pipe up with the 'he's not really British' line, and it only took a few posts for that comment to appear. It's irrelevant, because tennis players...
It got away from him because of the touch from Krul. If he rounds him with no interference at all he's getting to that ball and putting it away.
I agree he takes a step to see if he can get to it, realises he can't and goes down. It should be a penalty even if he stays on his feet, but we all...
I guess when you're fourth in the table, games against the likes of City and Liverpool are exactly what we should be excited about, not scared about.
Then Villa, Newcastle, Leeds, big names of English football, this is what we want Brighton to be, going head to head with these teams in the...
If "keeper spreads himself at feet of attacker one on one with him, misses ball but catches striker causing him to stumble and fall" isn't a penalty, then our game has changed immeasurably and this decision is really nothing to do with VAR at all.
I got a graduate job in London 20-odd years ago, off the back of three interviews, and then got fired on my third day. Rather not talk about it thanks, still stings a bit even though my career went off in a completely different direction and has been pretty decent I guess.
Just why? Maupay rounds Krul, Krul doesn't touch the ball and their feet clearly make contact. Maupay doesn't stick his foot out or change its direction, he tries to stay on his feet for a stride before going down. I really don't understand this one.
Are you kidding on Burn? He played as a centre back today and his covering and tackling were superb, what more do you want from a CB? To then add to that his ball carrying, control and passing, at a level I think only Ben White has performed better at out of all Brighton CBs, I can only conclude...
I'm still trying to work out when you became such a miserable bloke, I have recollection of you being a decent poster but maybe that's just the rose tinted spectacles of nostalgia. Ah well, carry on.
I thought performance was fine, Burn was excellent, Lallana good, miss Bissouma as any side would, great that Lamptey had minutes in his legs and anyone expecting great stuff straight away from him is silly. Clearly miss an extra attacking player when they defend deep, that's the consequence of...
We're going to lose, i just know it. Maybe we'll scrape a draw but I reckon today is the start of the long haul to mid-table average-ness. Have to say my Albion mojo has crashed in the last two weeks, Bissouma's arrest, Potter getting linked to every club that wants a new manager, members...
900 tickets at 30 quid is 27 grand. They'll sell most of them. They won't pay that much anyway considering loads will end up being concessions. Plus they'll get a cut of every ticket sold.
Maybe they'd make a small loss, maybe they wouldn't, but it would be peanuts in the great scheme of things...
Released a single today I believe with an album in the pipeline.
Loads of artists releasing new stuff around now, i guess loads of stuff produced during lockdown and they reckon this is the perfect time for release, summer over, build up to Christmas I guess. Imagine a lot of artists are going...
Shit, first Jo Cox, now Amess both attacked at a constituency surgery. Are we going to have to have security details for all MPs now? State of this world.
We don't know if this is political in nature, but Cox's attack was. Its what happens when people get so fervently on one side or the other...
Sometimes it would be nice to not be an afterthought and actually have the club appreciate their members and do something for us, without having to complain.
But they don't.
Case in point, last season if a STH didn't get a ticket in the ballot for home games, they got a full refund of their...
We'll get a full allocation in the cavern that is West Hams stadium, and comfortably sell out at STH level like we do all London games.
Villa I got tickets for last time, will be an interesting test case. But they're really isn't an excuse for not taking out a full allocation at Anfield or...
I dont give a shit about points, they're an irrelevance when it comes to non season ticket holders. The ONLY way we can get tickets to away games is when the allocation doesn't sell out - so if the club are never going to risk that, then we can never go to away games - unless they're midweek...
Interesting question. Not many I think, I try and see the good in all of them.
Robert Codner, yup, although how much that was peer pressure from everyone around me I'm not sure! And Davy Propper, definitely, for large periods he would absolutely do my head in.
There's definitely a connection...
