  1. Mr Putdown

A polite request to those of you that were at the Brentford game.

I was rather hoping for an honest, maybe even slightly cynical but genuine response because he was playing against you guys so I'm not sure asking the question of a Brentford fan would really work. From the responses on here I guess he didn't make any impact in his ten minutes then.

A polite request to those of you that were at the Brentford game.

Could any of you please put the result to one side and give me their honest opinion as to how Sullay Kaikai got on for Brentford? I rate the kid but would be interested to hear what you all - probably his most biased audience in the division - really thought.

    Somethings wrong!

Lol. Truth is you'll almost certainly be in the play off mix again. *******s.

    Somethings wrong!

Hughton was being, justifiably, hailed as a brilliant manger on here only a couple of weeks ago. And now some of you dicks seem to want him out after a couple of so so results?

    Catering

Looks like the pepper or mustard seeds have clumped together in a pie bursting with filling. If you think that's bad you ought to try the utter shite I have to put up with in the Arthur at palace.

Reykjavik, Iceland. Places to stay things to do?

The Blue Lagoon is a bit shit. You're basically swimming round an outdoor pool in the wastewater from the local power station, stopping occasionally to pointlessly rub mud on your body. Other than that I absolutely loved pretty much everything else about Iceland.

    The late John Denver,

I'd never clocked what/who calypso was in that song until then. Thank you, it all makes sense now.

Search fail - Charity Shield help ?

Unless the name was polished out and re-engraved then clearly you are right. Top spot there :D Although this picture has the flat engraved silver surround along with the word Charity on the shield itself. Just how many shields are there?

Search fail - Charity Shield help ?

(Pedant) It is the same shield that was the charity shield that is now called the community shield. Just look how many winners are engraved around the shield, the Community shield has only been going for about 14 years. The original winners names were all transcribed across to the new surround...

Those name plates on the wooden surround have all been removed these days and have been replaced by an engraved flat silver surround.

    Camber Sands

Turns out it was me being thick, I completely misread the post I quoted. Apologies all round.

    Camber Sands

Oh bore off. Who I support has sod all to do with this thread.

    Camber Sands

That was actually my point. Re-read the post I quoted, it made specific reference to the tide's behaviour on ovingdean beach at 14:30 which, as you rightly pointed out varies massively.

    Camber Sands

Agreed, it's no laughing matter. Unlike someone suggesting that the tide was "brutal about 1430". Now that is...

    Surely Palace can't... 16/17

Well yes. Take a look at the celebrations at full time which is what was being discussed. I can't see anyone tweeting, can you? I don't do Twitter but I do go to our games. I've no idea what fans who aren't at the game are saying, and it's of absolutely no relevance with regard to my point. :)
  16. Mr Putdown

    Surely Palace can't... 16/17

Do people Twitter during a game they are actually watching?
  17. Mr Putdown

    Camber Sands

Did you only ever go swimming once every 28 days and always on the same day?
  18. Mr Putdown

    Surely Palace can't... 16/17

That's how we support our team. You ought to try it sometime, it's fun. :)

    Camber Sands

I spend nearly ten years of my youth almost living on the beach in the summer and agree wholeheartedly with every word of that. Ironically that beach was Camber and I still cannot get my head around how this tradegy occurred. It's one of the most benign beaches I can think of.
