    [News] Nigel Farage and Reform

Oh good. At least only 40,000 people had to die before the Labour leadership felt they could take this position.

[Albion] Which former Brighton players were FAR too good for us at the time, but wouldn't even get in our reserve team these days?

Dan Harding who was average in the Championship for us, Leeds and Ipswich? Ulloa barely played for Leicester in their Premier League title winning season. Neither were FAR too good for us.

[Albion] Which former Brighton players were FAR too good for us at the time, but wouldn't even get in our reserve team these days?

This thread is a bit of a non-starter really. Most players who left us to go to higher leagues over the years didn’t have a sustained period of success. Therefore it is very hard to say any of them were FAR too good for us. I don’t count Sidwell and Ingimarsson as they were only on loan.

    [News] Nigel Farage and Reform

The result would have depended greatly on what false claims were printed on the side the side of the Vote No battle bus.

    [News] Nigel Farage and Reform

The 2011 referendum asked if FPTP should be replaced by Alternative Vote. This voting system would not have been any more representative than FPTP. We have not been given a referendum on proportional representation. Farage will be pushing for a referendum and it is also in the interests of...

Except, just like Brexit, he got that quote wrong. That song is sung by Grandpa Potts and the inventors in a scene that does not feature Caractacus Potts.

[Misc] Phrases you hate people saying

“How are you spelling that?” As in, correctly. If you don’t know how to spell the word or name, admit it is because of a deficiency in your word knowledge not because I am spelling it in some obscure way. “I’m sorry, could you spell that out for me as I am unfamiliar with the word/name?”

[Misc] Charity requests when paying by card

It is quite different. The money that goes in the collection jars does not go into the bank account of the shop whose counter it is sitting on. I’ve heard suggestions that supermarkets claim tax back against these donations too.

[Politics] Tactical Voting at the General Election

I’ve had nothing from any candidates. They obviously don’t want my vote. Pretty sure I’ll be spoiling my ballot paper for this one. Blue Tories making way for the Red Tories. Our electoral system is in great need of reform.

Is there a plaque at the Seven Stars Pub marking the birthplace of the Albion? I’ve never seen one. There should be something there.
