Saw a couple of people from the North Stand, so good to say hello. A spattering of Utd fans and football tourists but all in all a good day, except for the bloody result!
Looking increasingly likely that Chelsea will need a fire sale to balance the books and reduce a massively over cumbersome squad, I wonder if we'd have any chance getting Gallagher, and I wonder how that would go down with Croydon Res up the road?
I've got a bloody nightmare on Sunday. My U18s have a league game which, fortunately, has been brought forward to 10 a.m., so 12 noon finish, drive to Three Bridges, train to Wembley Central, via Clapham Junction. Hope to arrive around 3 p.m. and then start the beers catch up.
Talking of which, attended a business event at Stamford Bridge once, a guy called "Elvis" did the ground tour, he was brilliant, knew everything about Chelsea and when you mentioned matches to him he'd tell you the scrorers and everything, great and very funny guy.
