I thought him retiring was an assumption made by people on here. If he can get himself a pay-per-play deal, at say £10k a match, he could earn himself all of £13.27 next season.
Absolutely this. I'm not sure if these so-called mediums etc. are self-deluded or actively conning, either way it's all absolute bollox, and anyone who believes it is either lying or feeble minded.
Because most "pubs" these days, are not the pubs of yore. They are mostly cafe/restaurants that also serve drinks. Your real old English, spit and sawdust, traditional pub rarely exists any more. In my yuff I would have been quite sad about it, but being a little more mature in years, if not...
Newcastle will not want to be in the championship any longer than possible, it devalues Ashleys investment and the new Villa owner is threatening to spend big, so to count them out already is very dangerous.
I'm no smoker, but what the cig companies should do is produce some trendy fag packet pouches. I can't see how they could be banned, and they could carry advertising s well.
You know, when I read comments like these, I am reminded of those Norwich fans who came on here when we appointed him and said "prepare yourselves to be bored stiff with his brand of football". If that was boring, I can't wait til it gets exciting !

It will go one of two ways :
1) we get one goal back and give a plucky performance, agonisingly unable to get the second
2) we get overun again, and lose 3-0
Either way I see heartbreak in them there tealeaves.
The argument there - and I don't much care either way - is that for voting days or inset days, everyone is off at the same time, the perceived disruption is in catching up one child at the expense of the others in the class
If we'd lost 2-0 ordinarily without those injuries, I would have said it was very do-able - it is now an awful lot harder to put out a team to give us a chance.
If we do it now, though, it would be all the sweeter .... I just can't see it.
My first thought on hearing the story .... the guys daughter had a 92% attendance, which he claimed was very good - assuming they don't include sickness in those figures, why doesn't she have 100%. I was no goody-goody, but I never missed a single days schooling when I wasn't sick.
