Not going to match the good start from last year - which I think gave us the impetus to push on. We'll lose tomorrow anyway, then pick up after that. A run of 6 or 7 at some point, maybe.
He may sound like a hayseed, but he does know what he's talking about. I enjoyed listening to him on Sky last season, and loved his enthusiasm for the games. No problem from me, but 2nd is pushing it, I think.
Sounds a bit of a "come and get me" invite for other clubs - a reminder that he can be had for a reasonable fee with only 1 year left. Possibly hedging his bets.
Not in the slightest, have not given it a thought. Football season means winter, and I'm not ready for winter yet. The summer sports take over - love my tennis, golf and cricket - do not miss football at all. I have ignored everything, I could not tell you who we've bought or sold, and won't...
While we were there or thereabouts all season, it never dawned on me that we might go up, until about 2 games from the end - I just hadn't considered it.
Sad. He was my PE teacher at Shoreham Grammar for 4 years. His son, Michael, was in my class too. Michael was a super footballer and cricketer. Denis was very likable and a good teacher, from what I remember, but it was a long time ago. RIP and thoughts to his family.
Not interested at all in football at the moment. Football mean "winter" and I'm just not ready for that yet. Push it back another month and guarantee us a steady period of sunshine.
I have absolutely no idea who we have signed or sold over the summer, no idea at all, and no current interest...
Not somebody I would particularly like to meet, certainly wouldn't fancy a pint in the pub with him, but he did ok. Remember, the 2010 election was the one they said that "nobody wanted to win", we were in such sh*te, so maybe 6/10 from me.
The trouble with Golf betting is that so many could win it. As Paul McGinley said last night, he could make a case for 50 of the field to win it.
Looking forward to it, though, should be a good one, and a real test for them. Hope the wind is there a little, but not too much to ruin it. I like...
